Man lives 2 years in a Mini Van and builds out Amazing Modular Camper that is Everything he Needs.

A couple years ago I filmed a tour of Mikes minivan ( • Stealth MiniVan Camper... ) and at the time he was living in the same dodge caravan but with a quick build that he made over a weekend. He loved it and said at one point that he wouldn't change anything. 2 years later I met with him again as he was travelling east and I was travelling west across Canada and he showed me this Modular minivan camper that took him around 14 days total to build. Every component in his build can be moved around and taken out as needed or wanted and he even still has access to one of his stow and go passenger seats. His build is a creative testimony to what is possible in a small space and is one of the many DIY builds out there that make me love Mini vans as a one person micro dwelling.

Mister you're such a genius for those builds. So amazing regardless its not so organized but aye they do well. Amazing how the sink with a countertop can be moved and brought outside if you want too and the hidden away orig back seat 🤣😂 I wasn't expecting that since you're tall i was like hell nah he took evry inch from top to bottom and then boom pops up. Oh he got a lot of so much space below and that's waw me Inspiring In my future builds i might follow your stuff and the ironing plate 💪🏻 so genius also those lil board to be put as a table just 👏🏻👏🏻

This is the rare vid that destroys all your preconceived notions of van organization. No cluttered cargo area of indistinguishable shopping bags and crap piled up. Mike displayed his amazing spatial skills by designing his system that is perfect scale for a van while serving his tall frame. Even more mind blowing is that every piece is moveable/adjustable and his wall units are beyond genius. I've watched hundreds of van builds but Mike's moved to my #1 position for creativity and function, bravo!

This can be viewed in both a good and sad way. Sad in a sense that people will have no choice but to resort to this lifestyle in order to afford living in America, but also good because of the freedom from being locked into paying rent which if you can deal with not having secured running water or actual property to always go back to is definitely a HUGE cost saving move.

Hello from Germany Mike! One of best builds done with regular van. Love how everything is modular. The sink is great. I've the same water 💧 dispenser. I was going 2 do 1500 w max 3000w inverter, with 100 ah Lithium battery and 100 solar. Works great for caravan, but with van you additional generator. I will be working in other countries like UK 🇬🇧, Italy...Thanks so much for this video. I know all you have done was a couple years work in progress. Thanks for saving me a few mistakes! 😎✌️🤘🙂

What a smart build! I love the hidden basement, genius. When you took out that chair from the floor I was blown away, ha ha! Making the cup holder anchor points is genius! So is the upcycled ironing board rack! You are very creative. You should be proud of your minimalist lifestyle. There is so much you learn about yourself when you strip away all the belongings and work to maintain them. Kudos to you, Mike, well done! Forrest - thank you for no music and no talking from behind the camera. It is the finest way to create van tour content. Only the smart professionals know this. It was very soothing to listen to, and Mike was able to get into the details with no interruptions. This is the best way to film. Very well done on audio, visuals, details, and camera work! What a great guy and a great build! I built out a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan last summer... with a bed in the same orientation, but with the pull out on drawer slides. Oh my God in heaven is he ever right about how it's a HARD BUILD!! People have no idea. He's done a fantastic job. I love the side storage areas using the cup holders. I had thought of something like that, but then went with a different plan. He's designed every area with such great ideas... having been thru this process myself I really appreciate all he's done!! Well done. Your modular sink is genius. I bought a two drawer Ikea vanity with two pull out drawers and made it into a mini-kitchen. But it's too heavy to take in and out. I did put it on wheels so that it can roll away from the wall so I can access the below floor storage. Anyway.... great job Mike! And thanks Forrest for sharing the vid... :)

It's my favorite van, but I think it looks like it's pretty challenging due to the floor (although there is supposed to be a ton of space down there!) & the curves inside. Love it Mike! Thanks for showing your rebuild so thoroughly. You are a very skilled and thoughtful person! Will look forward to seeing your next video. Please do that when the cushions etc are complete! The ironing board is genius 😄maybe spray paint it black for stealth. Loved your story about the police officer 🤣 Happy travels and best of luck! The original tour made me a subscriber 👍Always enjoy your channel.

@@annechapmanfaure5296 I don't understand what the police officer worry it might actually be instead of an ironing board?

What a great job you did. I love the cut outs for the cup holders! I love the way you used modular design to make such a small space livable. And also think the ironing board repurpose is genius!
