This case might not actually be self defense, I don’t know. But the number of shots fired is completely irrelevant to whether or not it was self-defense. You can fire six shots in like two seconds.

You want to talk about stupid? Not long ago there was a restaurant where 2 fans we watching a Yankees/Red Sox game at the bar. One was a Yankee fan - the other a Red Sox fan. Well they got into it at the bar - then took it outside - one of the men pulled out a gun and killed the other man. Imagine sitting in jail for the rest of your life and people ask why you’re in jail? And the reply is - because the Yankee fan was busting my balks. How STUOID!!

You can approach someone and say you don’t like where they parked. If that person attacks you, you can defend yourself. If they just argue back or whatever, obviously you can’t attack them. If the shooter was attacked first, he has a case. Otherwise, going to prison.

It could be used to hunt animals and feed your family, or in the instance of Buffalo Bill, try to exterminate all buffalo to destroy the native american's main source of food. He was territorial since he moved in. The kind of "neighbor" people hate to have. People don't own the street. He could have parked right in front of his house and have the right to do so. There's a Karen who's sister own a house no one lives in, who claims any vehicle parked even an inch in front IN THE STREET of the house no one lives in, makes her fall in the back yard. lol She periodically checks on the house. She let her dog poop in a neighbor's yard one visit and they left a note on the garage door telling her to keep the dog off their property after they stepped in it, security camera showed where it came from. She called the cops and said they came after her with guns.

Shot 6 times/ Self-defense. A public parking spot. Wow.

@@thename9552That is not true. Look up Castle Domains in CA. They’re very specific, if you shoot someone in the back it’s pretty hard to prove you were under threat but if somebody’s entered your home unwanted and is a clear threat you can drop them. It just happened to an older guy the week before last. At first he was arrested until the sheriff figured out what happened and how 3 guys got dead on his property. Once they figured it out a couple hours later they gave him a ride home.

Wow, he lived to be 65 just to be killed for no good reason. We don’t know all the details, but if there’s an opportunity to walk away, walk away.

Well yeah!! It’s a parking spot is definitely more important than a human life.

We don't know that the guy was actually shot six times. The "six shots" was only what that neighbor claims he heard. That's not confirmed. This report told us almost nothing official from the police findings as to what actually went down during and moments leading up to the shooting. Mostly was anecdote from that one neighbor who was pretty far away and didn't really go outside to see til the shots heard. But a lot of you assumed you know what happened and jump right to judge and execution. Smfh. 🙄🤦

If one is a suspect in a major crime the law allows the cops to hold one for a specific amount of time. The cops are holding him as a suspect in a capital crime and are gathering enough evidence to make the arrest. Apparently you aren't a good listener.

I would imagine it's not over a parking spot. The police had to give the newspapers etc... a story they can run and the parking spot story is believable.

Just watching how a lot of people drive this actually comes as no surprise. Too many clowns today think they own the road.

You do not own the parking spots in front of your house. Literally anyone who wants to can park there. Maybe if he removed the debris and weeds from his driveway he could've parked there like a normal person and not been so concerned with who parks on the street.

Generally you would park in front of the house you are visiting if there is no room in their driveway. If there is no room on the street either it is surely fine to park in front of the neighbor's house on the street. For a neighbor to bring out a gun to confront the person parking is not a good look, obviously. Surely words were exchanged but what happened after that needs clarification. It does not look good for the guy with the gun, that's for sure. Edit: Just saw in another report that this feud has been going on for weeks and the person killed also had a gun.

Street parking is public parking. I've had a couple of people over the years try to say otherwise. Sometimes they will put an old chair on the spot. That is only warrented in winter after a heavy snowfall and a local resident shovels it out.

I worked with the victim and his brother on the same crew in the mines for almost 5 years. Dan had lost his left eye in a crash on the way to work many years ago. He was in a body cast for idk how long from that wreck but was able to eventually come back to work with the help of his loving family. We were kids then but this still makes me wanna puke reading abhow he died
