Nas Matic Its true, and I hate it just as much as you :( My hair grows in sort of a calix right there so it sticks straight out instead of blending it, I've tried so hard with going shorter and closer but it'll just stick right out again so I just ave to work with it I guess unfortunately. Told you my hair isnt as perfect as everything thinks :P

Carlos Martinez my sides are growing faster than expected too now it's at 4 maybe 3.5 on the sides. Regardless you go through a awkward phase

no matter how hard you try, sadly, hair is all about genetics. This man's hair grows in a very smooth way, its also thick, which is a bonus when doing nearly any hair style. He is genetically gifted in this area. Just like some men can walk around with no hair product and look great, when others look like they just go out of bed, (such as myself.)

People really hate this style, because they want every guy to have the same damn hair. It's boring and repetitive to have everyone's hair the same style. I love getting with a new style before it's big. You think when cavemen or whoever it was who first started cutting their hair instead of leaving it growing all their lives no one thought it was stupid? Props to dudes who can grow your hair out like this, because that means you have the confidence to start a new style. Some guys think it's gay but it doesn't matter because most girls love it. I get a lot of weird stares but the past 3 months people are getting used to it, accepting it as a style. So go on the comments and spew hate, but maybe in 2 or 3 years this will become an accepted style, and you'll totally forget about it :)

All my life I've had a line up and a 1 all around. I've always wanted long hair but I felt like I wouldn't look good with it, until I saw the top knot. When I first got the cut on the sides and back and went to school a lot of people were talking Shit and just messing around with me. At first I wanted to cut and then I was like "you know what who gives a Shit? I'd rather have a hairstyle that's considered wacky than a basic ass haircut that everyone has. That was in October. I've been growing out my hair since September and sadly still not long enough for a bun. I estimate that I'll be able to do it in March.

It also depends on head shape, i have a really round head, so the longer the sides,the more it sticks out. Plus remember its about versatility and creating several styles out of one haircut!

With all your hair trimmed down or pulled backward, your face gets all the attention, and masculine squareness and facial hair is emphasized. But without the knot, you'd probably look like a bit of a skinhead or some antisocial rascal. Therefore the knot adds in a tinge of subtlety and moderation, and because of the undercut, the whole thing still looks tough and alternative enough to suit a slightly rebellious man. I myself consider it the perfect "rave" cut, not so much hipster. So fuck you.

I've been using the topknot for about a year now and let me say, it all depends on head shape and facial structure, if you don't suit short hair or slicking back your hair you might not like it, but if you're really keen on having it and don't really suit it, try growing some facial hair, a slight beard really helps:)
