When VR first came out Eve Valkyrie gave you the experience of launching from a space carrier into space battle and my first thought was that I was living a childhood dream. Eve Valkyrie servers are still; running. It just doesn't get that many people taking part. Still if you have VR it's worth it just to go through the training and feel like you are being launched into a battle from a space carrier.

Don’t forget we had radio, the movie theater (drive-ins too) and these weird things called books! All kidding aside, we’re spoiled nowadays being able to stream or download any movie, tv show, book and music pretty much instantly from our smartphones. Born in 66, grew up in the 70s and 80s and this stuff never ceases to amaze me! Have you ever watched the BSG reboot? Loved the original as well but the 2004-2009 series is great as well and does the original justice.

I was twenty-two when it premiered. The premiere was put on pause when President Carter had a signing ceremony for the Camp David Accords on September 17, 1978 (I looked it up!). I worked the midnight shift back then which meant my work week began on Sunday Night at 11 PM. I don't remember if I saw the end of the premiere or not given that I didn't want to be late for work. Forty-three years ago this coming fall. I bought the series on Amazon Prime Video so I could take a walk down memory lane once in a while.

Not quite. It was #25, which is good for a new show, but yeah, it cost a million dollars an episode (back when that actually meant something), so it wasn't a big enough hit to justify the cost. If it was #1, ABC would've at least ponied up for another season (and not the bargain basement "Galactica 1980" that we had foisted on us).

A life sized Colonial VIPER is just so amazing to see on a device that didn't exist at the time, all these years later after the T.V series was cancelled. I can't even imagine the level of commitment it must have took to get this far with it. Fantastic job and way to keep your feet on the ground and still reach for the stars ! Who knows it might even fly. Maybe after it is all done a pre-flight wind tunnel test would also be in order ?

This is awesome, I'm sure if it was built from Carbon Fiber he could add a couple of small jets and actually make it fly, he'll definitely have to increase the wing size for lift but I'm sure with a little time and research he could make it work. The old school Cylon fighter would probably work better aerodynamic wise however.

I vote Buck Roger's Starfighter next. That one could be air worthy. Always wanted to build either of these. Did make my own flying paper version of the Firefox... kzread.info/dash/bejne/hIaFutWkaaSad84.html

Should probably put this on a trailer and make a flight simulator out of it especially if you make a good cockpit that would take a lot of hydraulics and money

two thoughts: first you should definitely check with Star Wars and try to get some money as a backdrop or a set piece. Second, you should look for some ducted fans and try to suspend the craft and allow people to ride in it. Third you could prop it up in front of an American legion outpost. And fourth , A "Star Wars museum"… Keep building! Can't wait to see the instrumentation. On second thought, get some wheels under there and make it street legal! Hey yeah

This isn't related to Star Wars at all. In fact they tried to get the show pulled from TV at the time, claiming it was a ripoff of Star Wars.
