it looks like he did it. I dont see a reason why the girls would lie. But still, there is no proof. Imagine if someone is crazy and doesnt like certain type of guy, for any reason, maybe just because he was drunk or some other reason; there are crazy people in the world who would be able to make up stories like this. I do not think it's the case, but it feels wrong to me to charge someone without any actual proof.

In the 80's when I was a 14 year old girl I was sexually assaulted in a movie theater and I was so scared I froze. My friend was also terrified and she later said she was too afraid to move to get help. I'm so glad people talk about this openly nowadays. Nobody deserves this

About 10 years after the movie theater "incident" I was pinched on my bottom and rubbed his bulge against me 🤮!!!! I reacted by screaming and punching the guy. He ran away so quickly. LOL!!! I learned my lesson from the 1st assault and it felt great to be empowered. Again, thanks for your support

As someone in my 20s, a grown adult, I find it weird how someone my age can grab, throw and kiss a complete stranger child over 10 years younger than me, right out in public. A teen is a kid who's not even fully developed physically and still needs supervision. He can't see what he did wrong shows how twisted his mind is. No morals. This is how the world is, thinking that everyone has common sense in their brains to distinguish the right from wrong, sadly not for the general population. Of course it is weird for someone in their 20's to harrass someone, no matter what gender or age, everyone should know about that, although even if they know, they will break the basis to do the total opposite for their personal needs, and it is extremely nauseating and gross, plus not only for assault. Sometimes even weirder of an act can happen somehere in this planet every 60 seconds, and you might not know it.

I was 13 when I was gropped by a 21 year old. His little sister heard about it and came after me. I was ready to fight, but I would be lying if I say this hasn't caused anxiety issues for me as a 37 year old. That wasn't the last time I was assaulted and no one came to my aid. At this point in my life, I barely want to be touched. Even hugs make uneasy

well from a spiritual perspective I would say its one of your life themes, that you set up for yourself in this life. You can learn a lot from such an experience. No way am I saying the act was justified. But you can forgive the experience, forgive yourself, but forgiving the person is not required if you dont want to. Doing this will unlock the energy and you will notice you can move on from the memory. Intimacy is a buitiful thing if its someone you trust.

This show has done so much for me, I thought lifeguards were there for you when you drown but the guys really look after and care about safety in all aspects. I've never been prouder to be Aussie than seeing these guys stand up for what is right

This happened to me on a beach when I was 14. An older guy grabbed my hands tried to kiss me when I was in the water. Wish I had been brave enough at the time to go to the lifeguards. Mad respect for these girls. And Thankyou to the lifeguards and police for handling it so well. 👏

Well like I say to my younger cousin always travel in groups always carry a protective devise on you. My cousin: then said what do you mean devise?. I replied: what I fucking mean is this home made taser now you have all the fun of subduing and leaving your attacker in a pile of their own piss. Well she did use it and it turns out it put her attacker in hospital. I was charged for giving a minor a deadly weapon I appeared in court and I said I’m not going to apologies for giving my family members a means of defence the judge said because I show no remorse I am to serve 2 year sentence which in the end was only like what fucking 3 months I also added to the judge can I get my taser back I’m feeling rape vibes happening if I go to prison lol

The lifeguards at Bondi beach are so inspiring. It makes me glad that there are good people in the world

These lifeguards are ROCK 🌟. They took their duties to protect seriously. Great job young men. Your fast response was very commendable and I’m positive their parents appreciated the quick support with the officer’s detainment. Young girls like that should be free to enjoy the beach without being preyed on by drunk men who want to grope on young teenagers. Thank GOD for the efficiency of the group of lifeguards.

Amazing job girls and friends of the girls who stood by them and didn’t let this situation be swept under the carpet. It’s disgusting that some people think they can just touch others without their permission. Disgusting.

I’m so glad the accusations were taken seriously by the lifeguards and the police. The guy knows exactly the system works in his favor “where’s the proof? If you don’t have it then I’ll sue you”. And the fact that girls these learned what consent is and therefore knew this was not okay. No one should be allowed to touch/kiss you without your consent.

If they have proof and witnesses it happened, he's done. If they don't, they'll still look into it, but if they can't find anything, he's free, but even then, there's still a lot of false reports that get people, pretty much always men, sent to prison. So I wouldn't really say it's in his favour, especially with that many witnesses. What if he really hasn't done anything and those girls and the guy just lied about it? I doubt they did, but he could still go to prison even if he didn't because the courts can be biased.

This kind of stuff is really scary. I still remember being scared about my first sexual harassment encounter. I was 12 years old at gymnastics class and one of the father's Just kept smirking and watching me do my stretching routine which already made me uncomfortable. Then he tried asking me if i wanted to sit in his car in the middle of break time. My mom taught me about sex, predators, birth and all that stuff when i was around 6 years old so thankfully i was already highly aware of what he was trying to do. I told one of the male coaches and he forced the dad to leave the building and wait in his car for his child to finish class.

it's so fucked up how basically every woman has had these encounters. I don't know anyone who hasn't at least had creepy comments directed at them as a kid and the majority didn't stop there. I remember being 11-12 on vacation and a 20 year old guy kept "flirting" with me the whole week, getting in the pool when I did, trying to touch me in the water etc. I was so embarrassed and scared that I didn't tell anyone and just stayed away as best as I could.

The fact he kissed a young girl is one thing but following her and her friend in the water is enough to give anyone the creeps. Had the lifeguards not taken immediate action, who knows what would’ve happened.

You don't kiss someone's cheek without permission let alone a child's cheek. As a 26 year old, I will never understand why people in their 20's are even interested in teenagers. I'm very glad they spoke up and he got charged. Guys like these need to learn what consent is. I don't think the alcohol is an excuse to harass young girls.

Exactly! As soon as he said it, I thought "yeah, you did it". Most people, if innocent, would be mortified at the accusations and would be trying hard to clear their name. They wouldn't be making threats, especially when they're being treated fairly, despite being accused of a disgraceful crime. Everything about him was shifty. I mean, who goes out for the day without a wallet or a phone? Even at the beach, most people need *something* so they can get home, or get a drink, or for emergencies, etc, and there are safe places you can leave these things. If his friend was nearby, for example, why didn't he leave his wallet there, because he still has to get home from there at some point? Only reason I can think of is that he didn't want to be identified... Not the average outlook of a normal, law-abiding citizen on a day out, is it? 🤷‍♀️

People will call you a victim blamer if you shift the blame onto the female victim for withholding their legal reports, without any understanding of how effective the legal system in their country is to victims of sexual related crimes; whether they're in a safe environment to report the crime or not; are they going through shock and trauma caused by their perpetrator which hinders their respond. Additionally, it doesn't always work out beautifully like this, the legal process for cases like this and more serious ones is long and painful; even for the women who made it to the end of the road, it's not guaranteed that they'll receive their justice! And I think you know this, you understand how it really is! But you're just looking for an excuse to stir things up as well as an emotional pass for the next time you confronted a woman instead of her attacker because "why didn't she report it?".🙂

It’s really disgusting and unsettling, that someone would think that’s ok. But it unfortunately happens everywhere. I remember volunteering at school fundraiser at the local park. Two older men stalked some classmates and i to the Starbucks across the street. We had to run in and notify the staff, we were able to get our drinks. I'm 38 now but I can think back to so many times in my childhood and as a young pre-teen/teen where I felt extremely uncomfortable around a man but I either went along with it or tried to make it seem like it was no big deal, laughed nervously, that kind of thing, when it was not OK. As women we are taught from a young age to go with the flow, don't rock the boat, smile and be cooperative and friendly. Be polite at the expense of your feelings. We were taught to not take up space or be loud or have strong opinions, and because of these sorts of things so many of us grew up to allow awful situations to happen because we didn't want to seem RUDE, or cold, or bitchy. I'm so glad that the younger generation aren't learning these same things. As Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark say; "Fuck politeness!"

I think you can be taught politeness as a cover for steel. I think that's how my parents taught me. I can be naturally very loud, outspoken and it was important for me to learn how to reign that in and listen to others. But when it comes to justice and safety, I try to use my loudness and boldness not just for me but for others. I am actually in a situation now with an elderly friend where the nursing home staff is not taking great care of her and aside from helping out where, I am considering how and when to most effectively speak up.

These people are predators. They go to places where there are a lot of children they could prey upon, and yet blend in with the bunches. If it were for these young ladies, whom were taught well by reporting the incident and keeping him in their sights, he would have faded in the background and never been caught. These girls did a great job by not wondering off by themselves, and staying in groups of at least two.

I was fifteen when I was first sexually assaulted at a summer program for blind children. The boy was a fellow student in the program. I wish I would've been able to report my assault, but I was afraid no one would believe me, since I'm not able to see. It would've saved me from my second sexual assault, two years later, by the same boy.

There's different levels of blindness. Many technically blind people can read and write with the right software and figure out who's who and what they're doing using their limited vision mixed with their other senses.

A 15 year old is not a child. Not an adult, no, but capable of *some* decisions and responsibilities that you would not let a 10 year old make or have. Here in the US, 15 year olds start to learn how to drive under direct parental panic...er...supervision, and at school as well. I agree that a 15 year old is too young for intimacies, even with someone their own age, certainly not someone considerably older. But they are not children, either.

Great work, the girls were brave to speak out and the lifesavers did amazing job to keep everyone safe.

This happens more often than you think. Near schools, in parks, on uber/taxi rides, etc. Most of time no one will believe the victim or even care when there’s no witness/camera. I’m glad these guys took this seriously.

The little creep they're making a big deal about would be considered very weak in most places I know. It's great they got the pestering guy away from the ladies. It's disgusting how there's actually people that do this. Back when I went to public school (no this is not at the beach but it's still pretty close to the topic of the video) there were boys who kept touching me. Touchy touching. They never apologized and the punishments were barley anything. And there were a lot of pervy kids. Always climbing over bathroom stalls and peeking. Another at a pool, when I was changing, a family was walking through the lady's changing room, and they boys of the group were staring through the cracks of the stall doors as they walked by. 😓 I wish I was braver back then.

I once got kissed by an old drunk guy without consent. I stopped him from trying again and he got the message. Even if this guy wasn't aware they were teens (possible for early bloomers), for this guy to continually harass those after they made it clear that were not interested says a lot about his character. Absolutly love these guys all of them are amazing people... i cant swim and always fear my kids will drowned i panick everytime i go beach here in the uk. There is no lifeguards at all its scary, so to see all these amazing men do what they do is brilliant they deserve a medal....binge watchin for days love them all so kind and caring aswell.... And i must say i have a lil soft spot for all of them but harrison, jesse and jethro lol my favs... well done guys

I'm relieved someone stood up. And people believed and protected. I've been sexually harrassed when I was like 6 or 7. Or maybe younger. Together w/ 2 of my girl neighbours back then. I think my mom had a feeling something like that was happening but cannot confirm. And I was lying too. Then the surprising thing is, I forgot about all of it until I reached highschool. It was a huge chunk of memories missing. Now, 2 decades later, me and the girls I was with back then, we still don't talk about it. I'm unsure though if they remember. Don't take your eyes off of your kids as juch as possible, teach them what is supposed to happen and what's not. Prepare them and yourselves for the worst case scenarios.

I like that you added a note for parents/guardians toward the end. One would assume that they would instantly know when harm is being brought to their child. My mother was incredibly protective of my sister and I about it because at a young age, she had an uncle who’d molest her. Her parents never suspected a thing and would send her each Saturday to sell him cheese my grandmother would make. When my mother was busy, they’d sent my aunt who was about four years older than her. The event went on for a few years and when my mother brought herself to bring a pocket knife with her with the intention of killing him on the designated Saturday- he died on Friday in a car crash. My mother mourned the accident, not because it killed him but because her cousin died in the event as well. When her parents scolded her for her lack of mourning over her uncle, she snapped and exposed what he had been doing. When the family retorted with lack of trust, my aunt broke down and confessed that the man had been doing the same to her. She made sure to always lecture us on the limits others should have and made us know that it was not okay if someone made us feel uncomfortable within such manner. My father never had a good relationship with my mother, always just driven by his needs which he always excused as part of him being a man. He often tried touching her when she did not want to be touched, even when she was asleep but my mother pushed through it. When he started trying to touch me, she instantly kicked him out and filed for divorce. The only reason why she evaded leaving him when he tormented her was because she had fear of my sibling and I not having a father figure, but with that act of his, she determined he was no father at all. It is surprising, the thing that struck to me about your story was that you forgot about it for a while. It is very similar in my case too. I had originally blamed It on me being a forgetful person, but for a period of time I had really forgotten of the event. The sentiments of anger remained but the actions he had delivered to me vanished almost entirely

Same, what happened to me would have been traumatizing if I were older at that time (by three boys of the same age). We were maybe 5-6? Thank goodness their mother came, she sent me home and I think punished the three of them because she was yelling when I left. Next thing I know, I was just sitting beside my father, without telling him anything (I didn't feel anything about and didn't feel the need to I guess?). Until this I don't know whether the mother alerted my parents or not but no one has ever mentioned it

Really, REALLY good job by the lifeguard there. Calmly and politely keeping tabs on the suspect (god, I hate that word when it's this obvious) until the police arrive and then assisting the police in a proportionate manner without either holding back or going over the top. Excellent work.

The guy was so quick and glib with his answers, I reckon he has been in trouble with the police before. The most likely reason he has no wallet is, he has dropped his wallet on purpose, knowing that by having no ID, he can give fake identity details. The police know what that's about, that's why they challenged him hard about having "no money".

I have been assaulted at work as a government official in front of other colleges and they did nothing. One day I just yelled at the guy in front of everyone (he assaults in public so why not),..the guy made himself into the victim and stopped bothering me. All my colleges stopped talking and socializing to me. They knew what was happening and were ok with it, when I defended myself they weren't ok with it.

Every girl will have a sexual harassment story, even before they reach a consenting age. It's honestly disturbing. Those men KNOW they are doing wrong, hence why they prey on young girls and not older women; they target the vulnerable in the hopes that they won't stand up for themselves. We really need to arm all our young girls with knowledge and expectations, so they have the tools to protect themselves and deter these assaults.

Ughh so disgusting ! When I was 16 I worked as a server at a country club and an older man probably mid 50’s put his arm around my ass . I didn’t know what to do I just stepped away I didn’t say anything to anyone. I wonder now if they would have suspended his membership or something. It’s been 7 years and it stills grosses me out.

Literally. Living as a girl nowadays feels like a crime. I cannot even go out at evening for a walk without being stared at (note- I am fully covered), everytime I wear something different than baggy clothing I always avoid crowds, to avoid being molested on. If you see an assault occurring, report it to the authorities and intervene to protect the person being assaulted and stop the assault immediately. Enlist others if they are nearby to assist in overpowering the criminal. Never tolerate criminal activity. There are societies that tolerate abuse of women. They must be stopped.

This is really relatable to my story I live in Australia and I was at the beach when this drugged up guy came up to me and I was litteraly 13 and started asking me all these super sexual questions I didn't answer him back and just stayed quiet I was waiting for my family to get changed in the bathroom so I was by myself than thankfully some stranger stop him and told him to leave me alone and stood up for me thank god.

A lot of these guys be asking girls if they're virgins. This happened to a girl who makes vlogs in the Americas.

Thank you lifeguards for your amazing job! This kind of behaviour is unacceptable!

Who else agrees Bondi is the best beach even though it has a lot of drama😊

I’m pretty sure that in a lot of places around the world no action would have been taken…….. hats off to the guys at Bondi beach.

I appreciate the fact that the lifeguards and others were willing to help those girls, it’s too common where people just watch and don’t speak up

I love how they call the 15 year old a little girl, I’m 14, and I still think of myself as a child, no matter who says I’m older. 15 is a baby.

I was 15 and nieve, I was working in a department store in the early 70's, and I was in the lift to go to the account's office when an older guy got in, as the doors closed he lunged at me, I was so traumatised that I didn't get what had just happened. I never told anyone this and I have never used a lift since.
