    Thank you for the praise of our great state. Those of us who live here grew up with the jokes about everyone being backwoods and hicks, but we have always been proud of our home, as it has a lot of great sites to visit, outdoor activity, and amazingly friendly people. I've traveled from coast to coast, and have been to many beautiful places such as Washington State, Montana, Northern California, etc.. But there is no place like home. Truly enjoyed your video and thank you for allowing others to see the beauty of Kentucky.

    Tim Smallwood if you look in the back of Mammoth Cave Park you will find a cemetery which belongs to my family. My Grandmother lived in Brownsville not far from there for many many years. Also it may surprise some to know that Colonel Harlan Sanders trust fund takes Care of that cemetery. Apparently we are related to him somewhere down the line. Small world. We put my grandfather Conard Vincent there in 93.

    Gracias, Roberto.. I drove to Mammoth Park from Miami in a custom van , back in 1987. stayed there a week, and loved the area so much that I wanted to move there...Finally in 2005, after 40 years in Miami, I was able to moved to Tennessee ( south of KY) ......Thumbs up and subbed...

    This is the best video of Mammoth Cave I have ever seen! Your camera is amazing, making the viewer see the cave almost as well as in person. I've been there 7 times in my long life. If you have a chance, you need to return and take one of the natural entrance tours. The Lantern Tour is magnificent. Your views of Kentucky are beautiful, too. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your work, Robert. It is really well done.

    As much money as the park service is making on that cave you would think they could install better lights, it was so dim at main entrance you couldn't read the story boards, I had to shine my flashlight to see where I was stepping. Worse than ridding at night in a car with dark tinted windows.

    Gladys So sorry your mom is going through this... I'll say a quick prayer for your mom and I do believe in the power of Prayer. Gladys... I hope you will take a few minutes to look into what I'm going to tell you about NATURAL WAYS to help SPEED UP your mother's recovery. There is an all-natural product out there that is very cheap that will INCREASE the OXYGEN to your mother's BRAIN... I can't remember if it's by 300% or but it's a huge number. It is called HARITAKI.. also sometimes it goes by the name of HARDE... and usually can be found in powdered form at many Indian Pakistani Grocers. The only thing is it is absolutely vile tasting and reminds me of powdered sawdust. I hope you will take time to look into this great ancient healer as well as another one called AMLA.. which you can also get in a powder and has at least 30 times more vitamin C than citrus... vitamin C is important because of the donor cells which you can look up... they are a major factor in healing.. Some people actually go and get vitamin C transfusions from doctors. The brand I usually get for these is called Vedic Secrets. If you don't have a local Indian Grocers you can probably find them online. Another powerful neurological healer and protector that you can either grow very easily or find on the internet is called BUTTERFLY BLUE pea tea... the vine looks a lot like a morning glory... beautiful blue and will turn the tea water blue... it must steep for about 20 minutes . When or IF your mom gets to the point that she can do squats..( or maybe be assisted with doing them ) please see the video on Super Brain yoga... the one that is 4 minutes 18 seconds long and it's a segment from a news cast. It helped me immensely when I had bad memory loss... superbrain yoga has been around for thousands of years and helps with all kinds of neurological problems. In that vid you will see a neurologist and also several teachers talking about healing their students of everything from ADD hyperactive even problems with autism and other neurological problems . If you can get her to start to do a few and then gradually increase so that she can do several sets of repetitions a day she will see best results in healing her brain.. And then while I'm telling you all this you might want to look at the channel by Motivationaldoc... he has several videos that show you how to do what's called electrical bombardment of the suboccipital part of the brain.... which has a lot to do with neuro- logical healing and correction also. I can't think of what it's called it's something like "do this for 20 seconds with a hairbrush "..or "do this for 30 seconds with a hairbrush. " That video might be the first place to start since it is so darn easy . You can find videos on all of these things that I told you about. There is also a type of breathing called Pranayama breathing which also gives a lot of OXYGEN to the brain so please look it up and see if your mom would be interested in doing it. Sorry this is really long and if your mom gets really great results just pass on the information to others in need .

    I went to Mammonth Cave about 2 months ago. And I did 2 tours, the regular Historic Tour, and I did one of the harder tours called the "Intoduction to Caving Tour", where we put on headlamps and coverralls, and went down off the path into the more wild parts of the cave. It was quite fun!

    shaker LT1350 I love his videos too I only just discovered them less than 2 hours ago ... but I think his voice does not match his face because his voice reminds me of Klaus Kinski something about it. And his movies his voice always sounded deeper oddly enough when I found him one David Letterman he talks in a much higher voice naturally. I think Robert would be very good at doing voice-over work especially for films and animated movies... especially doing the voice of a villain , haha.

    I'm not going to change for now. Can't really afford it unless we get something really old. But when we sell the house and decide to go full time I would love to be able to downsize into a small class B. 19 to 21 feet long is the magic number because you can park it pretty much anywhere. We'll see. Storage space might be a problem but I'm sure we will figure it out. Thanks again. I love doing this.

    Thank you! For now the Winnie is good. We don't see ourselves in anything much bigger than this, like a 5th wheel or a class A in the near future. We are thinking class B, or B+ at the most. We love being compact.

    I've enjoyed which this trip, because this Cubano did it in 08 when I was married, from Boca Raton, Fl to Chicago. However, do to the fact we only had a total of 13 days, and spent 4 in Chicago, 2 in Indianapolis, 1 Mammoth Cave ,1 in Nashville,1 in Chattanooga & 2 in Atlanta, we came back the same way (except took a different route from Chattanooga to Nashville through the Cumberland plateau straight north to I-40 then west to Nashville. The trip really offers a lot of variety in landscape, natural wonders,cities, ect. Looking forward to seeing what you were able to get from Indianapolis, Chicago, then St. Louis( which we didn't see)

    By the way, on the rest of the trip did you deviate much from the interstates like you did in Florida,Georgia because that really adds time, your family must have had like 3+ weeks?

  • @TravelingRobert

    @TravelingRobert

    +Gators 09 Unfortunately we only had 2 weeks so it is mostly interstate from here on. We pretty much just drove through Indianapolis, which I regret, but there was only so much time. We decided to dedicate more time to Chicago instead. Then south through St. Louis and Memphis... And then Destin, FL to relax.

    It is barely adequate. I wouldn't cross the Rockies with it, but in fairly flat terrain with nearly empty tanks, keeping it under 65mph it does amazingly well.
