I love it when she tells us about her family and her childhood. I feel like I was there with her in Italy. This is one of her best videos.
My eyes were teary the moment you lifted up that slice. It was sooo majestic.
Why do I torture myself and watch your videos when I'm hungry 😩

I love when you combine childhood memories with cooking and food. You are great!
Love this recipe, Laura! Easter just would not be Easter without pizza rustica. When I was growing up we always had this on the first day of Spring and on Easter Sunday. The smell of this cooking always takes me back to Spring days in Rome. Very nostalgic recipe. One of my favourite things to make :)
Thank you, Laura, for sharing your Mamma's Pizza Rustica recipe. That's such a nice tradition that you had this Pizza Rustica for each Easter holiday. I'm actually eating some pizza right now - Sicilian-style Chicago stuffed pizza. :-) This Pizza Rustica you made looks so delicious. Maybe one of these days I will have the patience to make a Pizza Rustica. Thanks for sharing! I enjoy watching your videos about cooking, fashion, and beauty. Keep up the good work! Have a nice upcoming Spring and a great weekend! :-)
why doesn't she ever go try masterchef? she clearly has a wide variety of knowledge and know how of food...if she just cooks italian food she would win the italian guys heart instantly... i'd def be cheering her on!

kiera618618 what do you mean amateur most of them have their own successful restaurants and/or business related with food o.0 and winning masterchef can lead to a position in a top tier restaurant....even if you win i doubt they would give that to some amateur who won a competition with other amateurs

+john king hm really? I could've sworn one of the judges said the competition was only for home/amateur cooks. Maybe I'm thinking of something else.
Great video, I feel the same way with recipes from back home in Portugal. You always put me in a good mood. I have to say back in 2011 when I suffered my first bad anxiety attack, I would watch your videos to help me stay calm (although I would be hungry afterwards haha).
That looks amazing 😍 Thank you for sharing your mom's recipes all the times!!
Serious you helped me so much with my english , just the way people talk to each other not learning from the books . Thank you Laura you are a amazing perso
We had this last night. It was lovely. But this morning the left overs were absolutely wonderful!! This is a new Easter favorite with us. Thank you!! xxx
I Love hearing about your childhood memories while you prepare your recipes!
You brought tears to my eyes. It reminded me of my younger days where I grew up in the Bronx.
Honoring your mother and grandmothers ❤️🙏
Yay love this so glad you've done this version! This is the way my family makes it and it's our Easter tradition too!
PLEASE make that baked potato recipe you spoke about that your maternal grandmother would make, other than the pizza rustica! That sounded good! And it's so wonderful just to watch you cook something that brings so many memories back to you!
Thank you so much Laura for sharing your mother's recipe
Oh my God, you did it again. You're bringing back my childhood memories. This is exactly how my grandfather made it, with the eggs. And yes, I remember how I would eat a piece cold from the fridge the next day. Our theme song to you Laura.......Thanks For The Memories.
I could actually tear up with the way you talk about your family and food lol ♡ beautiful..
Laura, your stories of you and your mother are so touching! Love to hear your stories=) your such a Great cook!!! That looked Amaaaazing!!!!
I made this for my family's Easter dinner and we had it today. It was a hit! I enjoyed it very much and got a lot of compliments on it, as well. Thanks so much for sharing it. Keep the recipes coming. This is my favorite cooking channel on KZread. :)
I'v been making this since years, and it turns out excellent each time!
That looks divine. And, thank you for sharing a recipe by your mother :)
I was just about to go to bed... but I just had to watch this recipe. I was not disappointed.
Wow!! This is amazing!!! I'd really want to try this out!!
I love how i see so many of my family's traditions on your channel as well! You gotta love being italian :) so good! We have this at Easter all the time! My aunt doesn't quite do it the exact same way but very similar. She puts sopresata instead of prosciutto but prosciutto seems so good too! Sometimes we cut some slices and put them on a cooking sheet and pop them in the oven so the cheese melts just a bit and the crust gets golden and crunchy! Try it, it's soooo delicious!!! It isn't Easter without this! Thanks Laura :)
That looks so delicious! Thanks for sharing your family recipe with us. :)
Out of everything you've ever made.... this is... amazing
Laura, you are killing me. Every night I fall into your dark hole that you have created on the Internet. Between the blondies and sticky buns, I don't know what to do with myself!!!
Aww Laura, your stories about your mom and italy warm my heart..I moved to a different country too, so I totally get it
Reminds me of the Pizza Rustica I make at Easter time. We just started making it around Christmas time as well. Over the years, my grandmother would make it from the recipe her mother used. Then she passed it down to my mom. Now, that I have become pastry chef/baker, I have taken it over for about 3-4 years now. It is one delicious pie!
Laura I love u so so much I just feel so at peace and it soothes me when I watch u cook u really really inspire me and I just hope someday I become a great cook like u GRACIAS LAURA TE AMO
Thank you so much Laura...I made your homemade pizza yesterday, came out delicious, had extra dough, now this will be a hit for our Friday morning breakfast at work. Thanks again!
That's a typical south italian recipe. We cook it every Xmas and Easter!! I love it
Hi Laura! I really like how you use up all your ingredients when you cook, or when you give us suggestions on how to use up the leftovers. Great video by the way.
Wah, so nice, thanks Laura for showing us such a great dish😊
Dear Laura, I may just have fell in love with your channel... this is brilliant!

I first started following you years ago when I lived a very different life in another country so I've been living me own journey (cooking fab recipes😉 along the way). Bless you and Joe on your journey! X

Its mothers day here in the UK, so this food and story about your mother was just perfect for the occassion :)
This is the true pizza rustica. I was taught this recipe by an old Italian friend, and they also use egg base. Brought back a lot of memories, and I like to coat the top with my own special basil/Italian seasoning egg white blend. Thank you for sharing

They are not bothered by it. Americans and other people are not used to these kind of responses by the way, so I would reccomend you to save them for when you are back home. Merci. ; )

mmm omgg looks so yummy!! great recipe! :)
this is going into my favorites!!!
Great job. My mother inlaw makes that. She is Calabrese, they call it fraguna. Love it!
My mother (God rest her soul) use to make this she used the same ingredients as you the only difference was she use to layer the ingredients instead of mixing them all together. I make about 6 pies every Easter and looking forward next year to make one your way. This year I made some in muffin/cupcake tins ...OMG they came out great! The perfect size, after they cooled down they were gone within a few hours! I love trying new recipes I love cooking! I grew up in a Italian family that nothing used out of can was allowed in my home...everything homemade! I still continue to cook like my mother down to making my own jarred homemade tomato sauce every year. I just came across your video and looking forward to checking out your website! Can't wait to try some of your recipes.
Another great video and recipe.
I love it when you talk with your Italian accent!!
That pie is gorgeous! Such a lovely golden brown and it doesn't even look like it was 2 pieces of dough it stuck together so well. Very nice recipe Laura! TFS! :)

I've been trying to get Laura to make a dish I've grown up eating, and I don't think she's seen it :( It's called Kappa Meen Curry, which literally means Tapioca-Fish Curry, and I can't even describe how happy it makes me feel everytime! But... sadly, she hasn't seen any of my comments requesting a video for it.

SupermanSings i´ve never listened about it, in mexico we just know tapioca cookked as a dessert, and people hardly know what curry is, lol. but i´m a chef... and i find it really interesting, i think i´m gonna try it, you have any recipe? or can i just google it? are there any standard ingredients or something you recommend?
@Christs_Soldier
9 жыл бұрын
Aída Vázquez You can google the authentic recipe. To enjoy it to the fullest, you eat with your hand. Took me to cloud 9 every time I ate it :D It's actually a mixture of 2 different recipes, as in, the tapioca dish and the fish are two different dishes, but people eat it together and it's phenomenal. You pour the fish gravy over the tapioca dish and eat it, along with the fish pieces. www.recipesaresimple.com/fish-tapioca-authentic-kerala-kappa-meen/ It's got quite a lot of ingredients because Indian recipes do tend to have a lot of ingredients in most of their dishes, but I think this one is completely worth it.
