Also they casted the younger dynamos so well! Lily is an awesome Donna, her vocals even sound similar which is crazy and the two other girls look exactly like the other dynamos. Excited for this movie!

Lily James sang a cover of A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes for the Cinderella soundtrack. Honestly, I thought the live action Cinderella worked better as a non-musical. Plus, I couldn't consider the original animated film as a musical since the songs weren't exactly integrated into the plot itself unlike Beauty and the Beast where the songs actually carried the story and the characters' thoughts. If Disney had rights to Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, maybe it would've been a different case.

Well you can always watch the first one again. It had to be different. The other one was a musical before it was a film; this one is a film first, but with the youth more involved it will become a stage musical as well, mostly with young artists in the roles, it's also more suited to younger musical theatre in schools and colleges. It's clever marketing. Benny and Björn know what they're doing. I like both films.

I agree, I missed her too the first time I saw it, I wanted to see more of her. The first time you were kind of wondering why they did it, seeing as she was all over the ads. Again I think it's the genius of Benny and Björn, as many would have watched the old one again to see more of Streep, and the change introduces us to a younger more musical theatre friendly style cast for the stage version. I think the young Donna was excellent.
