Wasn't the same without Meryl. I agree Meryl is the heartbeat of Mamma Mia. I love Julie, Christine, Amanda and the guys. And I love Cher. But the first Mamma Mia will always be my favorite.

I agree with you Meryl streep is the Heart beat of mamma mia i literally cried my eyes out when i watched mamma mia here we go again. I hope for a mamma mia 3! With Meryl streep back as Donna and that donna isnt dead i have researched alot and i Found Many things and i have read alot. And i acctually Think that Meryl might come back. I read that she confirmed being in mamma mia 3! And stuff like that i found many articles about people telling that Meryl wants to be in mamma Mia 3. I just hope that it is true

They both are, even in the first one, the heart was the love and bond between Donna and Sophie but since *SPOILER Donna isnt present in this one, its Sophie´s aka Amanda´s emotions that make the movie and break your heart. I know that Meryl loves Amanda as a person but I think its even greater to hear talking about her like as an actress and professional.

I think Meryl was present every moment of the movie... And by the way, yes I did cry everything someone mentioned Donna 🙈

I love the way she talks about Amanda. The love is real. They should work in some drama together!

Love Julie and Christine! I did miss the (legacy) Donna character. Donna having died took some of the joy out of the movie. Both Sophie’s are great, singing and acting. Amanda has such a beautiful voice and Lily can belt out a song beautifully. Such enjoyable singers.

I was expecting an upbeat fast comedic Mamma Mia Here we go Again but instead got a gentle loving emotional beautiful Mamma Mia This time round you got to know the characters so much more,The wonderful iconic Cher also nearly nearly steals the film.However Meryl Streeps Character does.........You will cry.

The movie is like going back and forth in time and how someone made a legend. And after that person passes on, a new generation takes place, like Sophie intending on following in her mother’s footsteps.

This is definitely the movie of the year.

I think so,,, they are all great movie stars. Give joy to the people. The first Mama Mia believe it or I watched maybe more than a hundred times. I work 3rd shift so when got home I put the movie on until I slept. I still have the CD of that movie. Hope to have another CD for the second one. I loved mamma Mia here we go again I saw it 12 times I like the first movie my mom and I saw it together and when I found out that the second one was coming out my mom said wonderful. my mom passed away may 4th 2016 and did not get to see it that's why I saw it so many times it gave me some comfort two of songs at the end of the movie just killed me I cried my eyes out I missed my mom just like the daughter she missed her mom. when it comes out on did I will be the first one to get it.

It's an amazing movies.. A lot of funny.. I enjoyed

Saw it love it the storyline so much more to understand the charters. To know where they came from how at the beginning wish Meryl had a bigger part like her ghost hanging around would like too know what was her cause of her death it was sad for me at the end enjoyed the movie and laughs the crowd in the theater was all my age and older 60 to see Cher and white hair I could see her music recording and lips did a good job after all she a great mother in the movie and clothes on she did dance with a good looking guy. Love the movie. Hope they make another but not so long as 10 years would like to c still the cast members again

Yes Amanda carried it cos you werent in it! Still feeling its Just doesn't 'quite hit it' cos Ms Meryl aint in it and find the prequel/sequel doesnt flow for me. Seeing again so I CAN connect more!

No. Mamma Mia is the heart, Donna is the heartbeat, and without Donna, Mamma Mia is dead then Mamma Mia had a new heart Sophie.

Donna lived through Sophie in this movie, their love and bond sort transformed into Sophie´s love for her baby. Its kind the cicle of life.

Mamá Mía 2 . Is not good- no comparison Sequel is not impressive. I saw the clips It turned me off. Again M M 2 is awful. I wouldn’t watch it if came on cable. I pass!!!!!

It’s actually not that bad,is it anything like the 1st? God no,but it’s not horrible.

Probably the worst remake of all time. Some of the worst singing talent in Hollywood. Probably the most pretentious interview ever as well.
