Several others including myself hated his singing in the first one. But in the cut shown in theatres he didn't sing in this song but more then likely his verse will be on the blu ray version.

I think whoever played this part of Sam Carmichael should just sing the song to his scene partner without having an ensemble singing with him like he did when he sang SOS to whoever played the part of Donna

Also, it’s one of most mature breakup songs I’d ever heard - and, I think, the most mature breakup song amongst ABBA’s breakup songs. Like, “it’s not without heartbreak, but breaking up is the best thing for us” kind of song. They’re not complaining or blaming the other person. Just accepting it wasn’t meant to be.
