Let me try to explain, it shows how Micheals life goes and Masons ( obviously) and Mrs. Afton was nice but then when micheal grew older she became more rude and abusive. Then, at her funeral Micheal was happy. Now for mason, his mother has always been nice, then when he got older his father died. Then, at his moms funeral he cried. Hope this helps a bit
