I love mamamoo, but i can't help but think they could've spoken up and protected esna, idk :( maybe not, but the way esna was telling the story it sounded like mamamoo just went along with everything and took advantage of the situation. i hope i'm wrong tho. ultimately the company was making the decisions so i blame them the most.

At this point, I refuse to believe that they're idols. They're so far removed from the concept. They don't follow current trends, they did what they love (retro) and they voiced up their opinion through their song/rap. All their songs have no 'oppa,oppa, saranghae, come to me', instead they go upfront like "you like me? then say it, or buzz off" and this respect the girl theme "I don't need expensive things, I just want you to be a man". They made you focus on their voices and what they're saying, rather than suggestive body gesture or male-gaze bait. I truly respect this group, I hope they will go far or Kpop will lose a diamond in its industry

@@evvierr esna wrote this song for her TV debut, she wrote the melody, wrote the lyrics, and she really loved it and wanted to use it herself, RBW told her to do it as a collab with Mamamoo, and two weeks after promotion she basically got kicked out of promotion because netizens criticised her looks, so RBW said it wasn't a good image for Mamamoo to collab with her. RBW also made her go thru a massive weight loss before they let her participate, which makes it even more painful that she got basically bullied out of her own songs for her looks.

Okay, but eSNa? EXCUSE ME, MA'AM, YOUR VOICE. The reason why she slayed this song it's because it's HER song. I know Mamamoo had nothing to do with this so my hate, of course, it's not towards them.

Lol Esna had to divide the song up into parts for the members of mamamoo to sing and then record background vocals to complement their voices as well. It sounds that good because she relinquished control over her own song and did her best to make it a "collaboration." I agree that she did a very good job but really it's just Esna's song with mamamoo as featured artists.

It's painful how this is so underrated, This concept fits Mamamoo so much, and Esna wrote a purely amazing song. All four of their voices are powerful, and Moonbyul's rap is amazing.

SONE_BOICE MOO Well after looking at the lyric, I kinda understand why the song get steady tempo at the beginning and get angsty towards the end. It's about a girl who's tired and frustrated over stereotypical way of boys approaching/treating girls. The tension build up and combust with Moonbyul's rap that ignite the angst "Trust oppa, do all men said that? Just like dad said, men are wolves" followed by Solar's explosive vocal saying "I give you chance, so don't screw it up". I think the arrangement fit the lyric well, and if they throw high note all over the place, the song will turn out like a psycho-bitch wailing for attention, rather than telling the guy how to respect a girl.

Yeah after reading the translation, this song is actually deep in terms of meaning itself which is good rather than "oppa saranghae you're my everything". And the music arrangement itself is just great (the brass, rhythm, groove) and to have powerful vocals all over the song will actually ruin the song like they'll be clashing with one another. After listening to this for few times, it grows in me gradually. I am enjoying the groove and rhythm of the song itself tbh.

Their voices are so refreshing especially for KPOP

I hate sometimes how people whine that mamamoo should have stayed retro. mamamoo themselves stated they hated this style cause they sounded old and people repeatedly called them old and married because of it, let the girls do what they want, thanks.

I personally like that they continue to explore other musical genres and different sounds as well. That way they can always keep the listeners curious as to what to expect next, and slay anything they try😁

where did they say that? i think they liked the songs themselves but just didn’t like that people were so judgmental and mean to them. it was only hwasa that was accused of being old but that was more because of her makeup and how mature she sounded and acted from a young age. this concept also helped them stand out among the other groups, otherwise they would’ve been buried and forgotten in the sea of debuts

I'm a moomoo and eSNA deserved better.

Yo that guitar intro though? It's AMAZING.

I watched their live of Ahh Oop! with Esna and Esna's soul is definitely on another level! I thought it'd be a bit awkward at first since she doesn't dance the choreo but the more I watch the more appealing it is, her stage presence, yet it goes well with Mamamoo. I'm sure there'll be more collabs between them in the future~

Not @ RBW forcing Esna out of promos after the hate online. A company is to stand behind their artists but RBW has failed to do this several times.

Mamamoo has such powerful vocals. I hope they get even more recognised and win a few awards on music shows with this comeback ^-^

Honestly, watching this after Esna’s video...you can see that the directors of the video didn’t even try to include her well in the video. She wears only black & white, while MAMAMOO wears colorful clothes that fit the video more. This song feels like a “feat” when it was supposed to be a COLLABORATION, and even before that....it’s her fucking song. I’m happy I got to know about Esna because she is an amazing musician, but damn the companies & the situation were just so fucked up.

Moonbyul killed it with her verse on this one. She has such short time to showcase her talent as a rapper on each song, but she does so everytime in such a wonderful way.

Listening to Moonbyuls rap in this back then you can tell she's gonna become a GOAT.

eSNa deserved better for sure. it's a pity companies don't respect the very real living breathing humans that are the artists that sign under them

Because RBW is holding them back :( They are terrible at promotion and they seem to have no interest in the international market which is absurd, because Mmm is still loved around the world despite them :/ I don't get their intentions, honestly. These girls could be BTS kind of famous :(

This entire song exists purely to lead into Solar's part after the rap. That IS the song and it is just perfect.

After seeing eSNa’s recent video on Not So Classy, RBW should pay for what they’ve done.

This is my fave rap of Moonbyuls.

I NEED A COMEBACK WITH THIS STYLE AGAIN.

tbh i wish mamamoo would release more tracks like this...i miss their vintage concept it suited them soooo much. not any singer can pull this style off and they slayed.

To re-listen to this song after Esna's video is kinda hurt. Esna's part was sooo little when she's the one who wrote this song and supposed to have biggest part. Don't misunderstand me, I love Mamamoo but RBW is the real culprit here. And then the last, this should be Esna ft. Mamamoo but they even give the title as Mamamoo, Esna. This is sad...
