It was unifying to see all members get to showcase their vocal talents together. I loved loved loved hearing Moonbyul's sultry smoky voice

They are beyond amazing. There is no western artists that entertain me like Mamamoo does. So great.

I agree! I dont like many or any western pop singers. Kpop is the way to go now. Now all I gotta do is learn Korean Hahaha

The Four Season's project is one of the coolest concepts I think to ever exist in music and this obviously was the perfect way to set up that legendary era. Just in case anyone needed reminding what Mamamoo was about. So excited for their concert this week!

@@WatchwithSandee No pressure! It's at 9pm EST and I'm excited because I will be at home AND naturally awake. Their previous concerts have been at like 5am on work days!

oh man, this was the song and mv released to try to explain their upcoming 4 seasons, 4 colors project without actually explaining it. you can see how and why color was considered important to the project, as well as which colors got attributed to the members within it, which were included in the album titles (hwasa = yellow flower, moonbyul = red moon, solar = blue;s, wheein = white wind). but yes, it was also the official debut of vocalist moonbyul... she had released a lot of vocal stuff before this, of course, but it was all just stuff she uploaded on her own in various ways, frequently short cover videos, so fans knew she could sing... seeing it in an official capacity hit so different, though, and so many people freaked out once they were able to process it... she's obviously become more comfortable singing with the others since then i honestly forget whether it was "paint me" or "star wind flower sun" but one of those two songs solar actually put her foot down with the staff and was 'no, we won't perform this song unless moonbyul sings with the rest of us'. i kind of lean towards it being the latter, since solar wrote that song herself but for some reason i always think about it being "paint me" instead. either way, glad she did it and glad we're getting so much vocalist byul now

I love that Solar spoke up Moonbyul. Its what a good leader does!! I think this means I'll start getting familiarized with their season album and songs soon!

Moonbyul has the type of voice that just touches the inner corners of your cold cold heart and then bam!!! You’re loving her too much.. haha the one and only talented Ms Moon. Haha

Just when you think you know MAMAMOO, then BAM….they hit you with another side of them! Vocalist Moonbyul’s debut was amazing! Truly shows their versatility as artists. You should add Moonbyul’s cover of Trying to Say Goodbye in your next round of solo reactions. It’s really showcases her range and emotion while singing.

Paint me was the introduction to the 4Seasons 4colors project

Yeah. Byulyi auditioned as a vocalist, she just doesn't have confidence in her vocal abilities so she switched to rapping and Hwasa switched from rapping to vocalizing. They are both AMAZING vocalists (I have not actually heard Hwasa rap yet because I am still fairly new to the fandom, I KOW I have not heard everything yet)! I really don't know where Byulyi's lack of confidence came from, she has nothing to be worried about at all. She is fully competent as a straight vocalist and has a WONDERFUL voice! I LOVE hearing her sing. OBVIOUSLY I love her rap as well, hip-hop...whatever she is doing is AWESOME! So I am just like you, I also get EXCITED when I hear a rare straight vocal from her.

I feel so attacked by Mamamoo's visuals in this mv, so hard it almost traumatized me. almost. and giiiiiirrrrlllll, you look so epecially pretty today sandee, love the hair, so feminine and the eye make up pretty too

My favorite MMM song. Paint Me came out of nowhere to start 2018 and was as unprecedented for Mamamoo as the 4S4C project was for a girl group. Paint Me is the theme song for 4 Season 4 Color and was a pre-release single to introduce the project. As usual there's more to the song and MV than meets the ear & eye on first view. Lots of cycles and symbolism in the lyrics and images. One way to interpret the song is that it's about their relationship with music rather than a lover and I agree with that theory.

@@WatchwithSandee Album? I thought you knew - 4 Season 4 Color was a year long four album project, one album per season. Multiple interlocking concepts with cycles of seasons, relationships, lives and members, mixed with color symbolism and other moving parts. Paint Me is the key that unlocks all the concept boxes.

I arrived late because I was watching a reality show, but now I'm here to cry ... because this song ends me, I don't know why, but it reminds me of my mother 😔❤️

Omg, been waiting for thissss. Paint Me paved the way for the Vocal Moonbyul era. Solar made sure that Moonbyul will sing in 4seasons, 4 colors project, and we can clearly see why. This song is actually the beginning of their 4 seasons project. I recommend checking out all the MVs of all the title tracks for this project: Starry Night (you can also check out Star Wind Flower and Sun MV, which is a song from the same album about their friendship and their Moomoos), Egotistic, Wind Flower (which you already saw) and Gogobebe. There's so much more I want to say about this project but don't want this comment to drag any longer hahaha
