You guys,
Thank you for making this happen. The support you've shown over the last year and a half led to this opportunity to work with Zenimax Online Studios. They asked me to write a fan song for the Elder Scrolls community, based on the ESO story. :)
I will be sharing more info about the writing process of this song soon, but I just wanted to say that I read in the lore that the word Tamriel means "Dawn's Beauty". That's why the song ended up being called Beauty of Dawn. :)
Thank you for watching. Always. Thank you.
Love,
Malu

Beauty of Dawn
A serpent lights the ancient sky
A threat of tainted stars
Evil stirs and in its wake
The souls of mortals sway
Sorrow reigns
Over fields of red
Spirits pace
Through the shadows cast by their graves
These are days and nights of venom and blood
Heroes will rise as the anchors fall
Brave the strife, reclaim every soul
That belongs to the Beauty of Dawn
Darkness strikes to blind the strong
But Faith will guide our swords
Loyal hearts we'll stand as one
And fight with shields of Hope
Pride fuels the deadly fire
That devours our tower of gold
The drums of war will rage and roar
'Til the sun burns bright once more
These are days and nights of venom and blood
Heroes will rise as the anchors fall
Brave the strife, reclaim every soul
That belongs to the Beauty of Dawn

Mason Williams Beauty of dawn was the end credits song, and that is her voice in the end credits. However, when a female sings three hearts as one I believe it is her voice.

This song gets even better, when you realize that she was making actual references to the lore. "Days and nights of venom and blood" is a reference to the turmoil before the founding of the empire. That phrase is found in A brief history of the empire v1. "A serpent lights the ancient skies, a threat of tainted stars." A reference to the Regaurd creation myth, that the stars were guideposts for spirits attempting to escape being eaten by a giant snake named "Satakal." "Tower of gold." White gold tower, of course. The center of the imperial city. "Heroes will rise as the anchors fall. " Obviously referring to the portals to Coldharbour. "Beauty of Dawn." Tamriel means "Dawn's beauty" in the language of the elves. I'm sure there are others.

AmazingGaming No, this was written by Malukah. It even says so in the description, Zenimax asked her to write a song and she did. Then, they put it in the end credits. Just to be thorough, I also checked to see if there was an "original" version of this song, and there isn't. This is the first.

I'm all serious, Zenimax and Bethesda should pay you for all these videos. They are so damn excellent that far beyond the "Fan works". And, I think it will be nice to make a NPC called Malukah in a tavern in the middle of Cyrodiil where all players from all 3 factions can enter, peacefully, sit around the hearth, listening to the songs regardless of the pain and hatred. That'll be nice.

While I fully agree with the sentiment, I find it hard to say this is a 'hidden' gem. Most of us discovered Malukah from her first Skyrim cover, and have been madly in love with her music ever since. That aside, she was officially hired by Zenimax to do official Elder Scrolls bard songs! But I'll give you the 'hidden' in the sense that her main fanbase is probably Elder Scrolls fans, so if someone has nothing to do with those, they probably aren't getting enough Malukah in their lives.

***** Goddamn if any of the Elder Scrolls games were judged purely on how they were when they were first released it would be a miracle they ever got anywhere with the series. I cannot count the number of bugs and glitches and just outright broken mechanics that I've encountered across Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim combined but they've ALWAYS fixed those issues.

***** I'm only going to say this: A MMO is not a standard game. Definitely a horse of a different color. They release buggy because there is so much that can go wrong. A regular ass game now days, is not what they used to be. They used to release and that was it. It was complete and full. With DLC this has made many developers lazy. But that's the digital era. We can't do much about it. Bitching and complaining isn't going to change what the standard has become.

People expected too much from ESO. You cannot make a game like Oblivion, Skyrim, Etc a MMO and expect it to be exactly the same. It's a perfectly fine Elder Scrolls game. It's just not the same as Single Player Elder Scrolls game, and it never should be. You can't be immersed in a game with someone with the name of yomommaisfat25 and take it seriously. It's exactly why we don't really have a good horror mmo. You can't be scared of something if someone is standing next to you with a name like swagtigolbiddies666 It's not going to fucking happen. People need to think about what is realistic and what is not. This isn't table top D&D where you can look the person in the face and tell them they're acting ridiculous. You can't properly sneak and be a thief and insta-gib someone else's npc in the face with an arrow like you can in a single player mode. It has lore, it has music, it has armor and skills, it has monsters, vampires and werewolves. It doesn't have the immersion and freedom that would be achieved in a single player game. The anti social nature of a single player game is what GIVES the immersion.
