Mallory Park Crashes/Highlights, EMRA (Race of the Year), 23/10/22

EMRA finale and Race of the Year time. Delayed start until about 11AM in conditions that at one point looked to possibly threaten the event completely and left them playing the catchup game all day long until Ryan Oliver took a nasty fall at the end which finished the meeting off. Thankfully he's in a stable condition and we wish him a speedy recovery. Hairpin exit cam disliked the rain that much it gave up. And Race of the Year contenders were left with some of the trickiest riding conditions you can give a biker. Rhys Irwin put a 600cc Triumph took pole in the wet for the big race, Christian Iddon demolished his Suzuki whilst finding the limits as the track dried in the lead leaving Charlie Nesbitt to fend off a poorly qualified Richard Cooper who briefly took the lead before ultimately finishing 2nd. Decent meeting again, though if it had been fully dry I think you would have seen an insanely close race with the top Suzukis like we had earlier in the year. Been good fun filming the EMRA meets this season. We shall see where we go next year

Glad to hear the lad at the end is gonna be alright that looked pretty big. Enjoyed race of the year from the devils elbow banking, entertaining for a different reason than usual races round here watching riders push in drying conditions. At least they got their big event in unlike at Brands Hatch lol

❤💯Loved that!!! I used to race about a million years ago,,on a KR1S and an RGV 250 ! Did a race once at a track called Elvington, dont know if its still used or not,,,,,,,, and a bonnie lass called Katie Parkinson, pipped me on the line for 5th place!!! Oh the memories !!! Cheers for the vid 👍👍
Some class riding to avoid some fallers in that one and some good dives into edwinas. Been good watching the bikes this year I think these vids open them up to a much bigger audience. They should hire you 😉!

He’s been on the EMRA page chatting. Ribs, lung and shoulder. So pleased when his comments appeared.
great footage... used to be a fantastic circuit for the spectator real atmosphere.. but i hardly recognise it now... shame the bikes are too fast to host bsb there .... summa these riders should stick to trackdays..

Several fractured ribs, a wrist, a shoulder blade and a knackered lung for his troubles and apparently not much memory of the fall itself. Sounds like he'll be back though. Shown some good pace this year I'm sure a few broken bits won't keep him down!

I was watching on TV and instantly changed to phone to check the comments as it looked a bad one , the bike attacked him ! Glad he’s ok ish 😮😮😮
