Just to clear some misunderstandings with the newbies about this game is that the characters here AREN'T the genderbender of the disney characters. They are BASED of them, but are not them. So no that ain't the male version of Maleficent or etc. This is also an adventure game, not a romance/dating game. That is all. This definitely sounds like a confession song not necessarily romantic feelings but he's just telling us how he actually feels now that he's found a friend. Malleus has been alone for so long that once he made a friend in the main protagonist he starts to feel like he can be himself around them and also has the need to protect them from anything that tries to hurt them. He also seems to be afraid of losing that feeling. The pain of loneliness leaves when he's around his new friend. In-game you can kind of see this as well (Spoilers). He seems to be very overprotective towards the ones he cares for most, when he first meets the MC he's afraid to give them his name because he thinks if they find out his actual name they'd treat him like everyone else does when MC does eventually find out they treat him the same and give him the same amount of friendship they always give him and to that he becomes grateful for it, When MC invites him to the VDC he's excited on the inside but outside he gives a tsundere-ish response but the MC knows he's actually happy. Turns out that reason for his joy is that he's never been formally invited anywhere so he pouts when he doesn't get invited so if more people invite him to places he'll be happy. He sometimes checks on the MC and even asks them to go on walks with him too, during the Halloween events in the first half Halloween almost got ruined by rude people, and not only did the rude people disrespect him but they also disrespected MC which pissed him off so after Halloween was drawing to a close he tried to make an endless Halloween to make up for what happened during Halloween to make MC happy. I can go on with the list but I'm also scared for chapter 7. ;=;'///

Somehow, I feel like the lyrical change they did for the Maleficent version of this song would suit Maleus as well, especially if he becomes fond of protag-chan the same way Maleficent ended up fond of Aurora. Also considering Maleus's seiyuu is more of a singer than a voice actor, I would not be surprised if Disney had him cover this song.

I think these lyrics are a big forshadowing for the future! Maybe he is really the only character who falls for the mc , and at the end of the story mc will face a big danger ( maybe that danger the reason she was brought in this world) and then he swears to protect her/him with this song! Light Yagami+ He’s not a genderbend maleficent, only the design is based off the villains. Not actually them though

Master of Music, Magnificent Malleus the Misunderstood!! How many instruments does he know how to play again? I know he plays violin and Sebek says he is good at all string instruments and..piano? Like in Halloween? The song's atmosphere is legit awesome, first I was a little jolted with surprised but then it became comforting I don't want the game to end after Ch 7..... we still need to find the mystery of the blot and what not right? Right?! We need to see more overblots to see more backstories and The RSA and then many many more, the others' hometowns, teaching some sense to Riddle's mom, Azul's bullies etc and being a good therapist all the way to the end! I NEVER WANT THIS GAME TO END...at least not after ch7... how about ch 100 sounds nice right?

Yes you are so right 😭😭 I am afraid the game would end after chapter 7 since I am playing the English version and still haven't even finished book 3 yet
