There is a good chendol stall called Ye Tang Chendol which is tucked away quietly in the corner. If you come in the evenings, you can enjoy the sunset while having drinks since there is an open rooftop area. It does get very hot just before sunset though.

Food here is good

Leaving in Singapore for 50+years as old Singapore, sadly never visit this shopping center, thank you so much for your introduction. It’s so authentic video. Well-done!

The best stall to me is the rose chicken noodles

I study in the primary school nearby so itz my fav haunts in the 80s

the reason why there are not much (or totally none at all) staircases in the middle of malls now is because developers have only 1 goal in mind - generate revenue. the only use of staircases in malls are for fire escape safety reasons. they would rather use that space to have more tenants. also, in modern context, huge chunk of boring looking concrete staircases in the middle of the voids and atrium spaces are an eye sore!

Nostalgic place for me when I’m also studying at Ngee Ann Polytechnic many years ago. Nice video and narration 👍🏻

Today, I had the opportunity to explore Beauty World Centre and tried out Hong Wen Mutton Soup as recommended. While the soup base left me with mixed feelings, the overall experience was marred by the considerably high prices. For instance, the soup, priced at $10, included only four small meat pieces accompanied by an abundance of bones. This led me to the impression that this particular stall caters more towards a wealthier clientele.

That Blanco Court fish soup was the worst of its kind that I had ever eaten. The soup was barely warm pure MSG water and the fish was tasteless with the texture of badly defrosted mush. Avoid that stall at all cost. If this youtuber considers this fish noodles tasty, then I know I should not believe any of his other good reviews.
