The construction of kenya's 110km Malindi Sala Gate Road is 100 percent complete.
The project cost 4.3Billion kshs and has greatly improved the C103 connection between Malindi a centre for Kenya's tourist sector, with the Tsavo East National Park.
This Road will also connect you to Nairobi Mombasa road by driving through Tsavo east National Park.
The road cuts through shakahola Forest, which is a 300 acres forest area that is part of the chakama Ranch in Kilifi County.
Shakahola Village is nearby though not visible from the road.

Oh!sorry. No, it's only tarmacked upto sala gate. Then from Sala Gate you drive through Tsavo East National Park and exit at Manyani. The park is not tarmacked at all but the roads are good. A small vehicle can drive through, not necessarily a four wheel drive. But your vehicle should be in good condition to avoid breakdown while inside the park because, I noticed there was no network at all and it might be difficult to call for help.
