I love how she handles her horses, she points out that you never should get angry, and when the motorbike drives past, she says ''Motorbikes. They can be dangerous.'', understanding how the horse thinks. :D

I hate how short her martingale is, and I couldn't quite make it out but I'm pretty sure it's a standing martingale which are a horrible piece of equipment anyway and should certainly never ever be used for jumping. Other than that it's a lovely horse and a great rider, good tips. It's just the fact that the horse will most likely have a screwed up neck that ruins it.

I thought it was a standing martingale at first too-- but I think it's actually a kind of draw rein.

Yes, it's not a standing martingale, those are not allowed in Swedish competitions. I've actually not seen exactly that kind of a training aid before but it looks like sort of a combination of a draw rein and a german martingale. The training aid reins just run through the bit to her hand so she can shorter or lengthen them however she wants, it doesn't hold the horse's head down there permanently like a standing martingale.

Holly Frances Palmer Jessie S It is actually a type of german martingale. Similar to draw reins. Not denying that the horses head is very tightly jammed in, but its not a regular running/standing martingale.

I'm honestly shocked at how tight your neck strap and martingale are. There is absolutely no reason the neck strap needs to be that tight.

Jessie S i 100% agree. Looks very uncomfortable and there is no need for that. Feel bad for this horse. I dont understand why humans feel the need to " fix" everything..
