About to finish Shadow of the Gods the first in the Bloodsworn trilogy and it’s amazing. I’m excited to read more and can’t wait to read more of John’s work.

"Like Sandersen or Guhrm (GRRM)." Lol that had me laugh out loud. First time I've heard that. Just discovered you off Alex Neive's shout-out video. I like the style and you've got me to add this one to my TBR now!
Started the series 2 weeks ago and on book 3. This series is everything‼️ You gave the best advice about going into this understanding it's a series. I'd only add to make a chart to keep everyone in proper order in your mind. I'm loving it and already ordered the subsequent series 😍

It's absolutely in my top 3 right now. Thanks so much for watching!
I love this review! I'm only midway into the first book, but it's already a fantasy world I'm really attached to. The POV chapter switch has overwhelmed me a little bit, because I read ove a long period oftime, so when I get back to the book, sometimes I'm a little cofused, but because of the chapter lengh, it's really easy to get back into it and to reread.

Thanks for watching! I definitely can see how the POV shifts can be a little much, especially with the world Gwynne built. Glad you're enjoying it though, it gets better and better with each book

I have been trying to figure out what book to read next. It is between Malice, Assassins Apprentice, and Best Served Cold (I have read the First Law Trilogy already). I think your review just sold me on Malice. Subscribed!

This book is amazing. I am 26 chapters in, and I am loving it. I have never been much of a reader, and this is my first fantasy book that I am reading as an adult. Obviously, Harry potter was my first. (Twenty years ago), I am 33 now.

This is a great starting point!
I picked this series up after I saw Daniel Greene and Mike from Mike's Book Reviews talk about it on their channels. I've been wanting to get into epic fantasy for a while, and I finally decided this would be a good place to start. I'm a little over half way through Valor, and this series has the hooks in deep. Still like seeing what people have to say about what I've already read.

I was this close to printing the map while reading Malice. Their journey was astoundingly engaging.
Yes! I loved Malice. A new favorite for sure and I completely agree that the long book plus short chapters is just the best. Love the review. I'm also about 25% into valor and can't wait to hear your thoughts

Just finished Malice two day ago...the first 4/5 was kinda of a slow burn of world building and setting up the series...but damn!!! That last 100 was a pure powder keg going off. That was one of the most tense endings that I have ever read.

@@thefantasynuttwork I just started yesterday on page 110 picks up right where it left of. When people say make room for a new entry into one's fantasy top 10, I thought it was hyperbole but after how Malice ended and Valour started I'm beginning to think the hype is legit. I always heard this series was great but I judge a book by its cover and pictures of weapons seemed so vanilla to me so I just kept putting it off. Big mistake on my part I'm ready to go on Amazon now and buy his entire catalog.
