I think it has become clear by around Chapter Three, when Malfurion tried to kill Cenarius' daughter and went to commit genocide against the Furbolgs, that he was going to be the true evil.

I would like to apologize for my harsh comment a few days ago. I said the race against Tyrande was bad design. But actually, after paying attention to how you did it, I realized that you’re not supposed to destroy the third Crystal you come across - only the owls. With that in mind, it’s perfectly manageable. I managed to beat Tyrande! I’m still having a blast with this.

@@grantarmstrong9648 Oh I guess that was changed since the version I played. Interesting. Due to its unfinished state this is the only Turno campaign I haven't played in full. Since I was annoyed then with the writing as I am now, I never bothered to keep a look out for updates.

Others have joked about it, but Malfurion is just a rushed version of Arthas with less depth. Despite the Legion being the bad guy they haven't appeared outside of a single interlude that had little to do with the main plot and just furthered the god awful Legion politics nobody cares about. The story keeps getting worse

This being a campaign has the benefit of stretching the story over as many missions as the author chooses, and they still rushed things just to show off how evil Malfurion has become

ok at this point its obvious you have no idea what you are talking about, the Arthas novel for Wotlk expansion was terrible and completelly ruined the characters of Arthas, Nerzhul and Jaina. When Illidan took skull of guldan he went insane, summoned naga from the depths to MURDER night elves and tried to destroy entire planet before escaping to Outland but somehow Malfurion killing elves that oppose him is "too rushed" ?
