Simon's happiness for Malec is so underappreciated. When Alec chose Magnus in season 1, Simon barely knew them but he looked as though he was flying. Now, again, everyone is happy. But Simon is happier for them than most others. And it's beautiful.

That moment was awesome I watched the wedding scene LOVE MALEC cried here's a weird question though hypothetically if a Shadowhunter and warlock man and woman were marrying would they still be saying that last together like that you know with the obvious difference of 1 saying "Loving Husband" and the other "loving wife" or would it be a different type of marital ceremony?

Yeah, I wonder if years from now people will look back on their relationship as seriously groundbreaking for American TV. Because even though it's two guys, it wasn't very gay. I.e. It was a love story; the two lovers just happened to both be men.I don't know if that makes sense. Maryse walking Magnus down the aisle makes me so emotional! The drastic change from "what's that warlock doing here?" in the first wedding scene to officially welcoming Magnus into her family and being so proud of him and Alec in this one is so beautiful!

I have to say it, I don't remember watching another show where a man/man relationship were so natural like this. Even in shows like "Queer as Folk" I didn´t feel it that much. All the everyday scenes, the compliments like "beautiful" wich are not normally used for men, the way they say "I love you" and hold to each other very often and a big "etc". The chemistry on screen between Harry and Matt, plus the work of writers and directors was just wonderful during the three seasons.

Yes. And unlike most of the comments here, the show did not focus on calling everyone "straight", "gay" or "LGBTQ" the whole time. Because none of them paid attention to all that social stuff. They were just normal heterosexual, bisexual, and homosexual people; the way it should be.

Their vows had me in tears. Especially 'when you soar, I will help you reach your greatest heights'. Like goddamn how are they so perfect???

The moment made me cry is Maryse walk in with Magnus and her tears make me feel like she's so proud of his son and feeling happy for him

Emilia M omgomgom im reading clockwork princess now and I’ve already read all of the mortal instruments so I know Tessa and Jem were at Jocelyn’s wedding and that Jem was a silent brother but I don’t know what’s going to happen leading up to that 😭😭

Do you know what makes this even more beautiful? I think I get your point.... We have a bunch of people dealing with so much shit that's so crazy that when said people start dating, falling in love, etc. that nobody has time to think about whether it's two men, two women, or whatever and labels like straight, gay, ace, etc. aren't even crossing anybody's mind because everybody's too busy. Am I making any sense?

@@ak5659yeah I mean, in Maryse’s words, “the fact that he (Magnus) is a boy is the last of our problems”. They have to deal with so much crazy shit that I’m pretty sure no one ever stopped to think whether it’s “right”, “wrong” or “strange”. The issue was more “he’s a warlock, you’re a Shadowhunter”, but that’s pretty much it.

Its been years since the show ended but for me it just ended earlier and i am sobbing badly right now, i don't intend to memorize malec's vows but as i rewatched this and recited the vow along with them it will be my bond to the show, they made me so happy. Life has been so tough on me while growing up, it almost tore the magic and happiness with me and then i found these lovers in KZread for a long time I'm just admiring their clips malec was the shining light out of my reach until just this year the ending of the year 2022 on the last month when there's no school no stress i started watching it because I finally reached malec's light and I've continued to learn not just about malec but the rest of them. Clary, Jace, Simon, Izzy, maryse, Lucian, Maia, Raphael, Lorenzo, meliorn, little madzie she's like malec's daughter and there's so much more i want to mention, and all of them got me reaching that light I thank them a lot for making me feel the feelings i haven't felt in a very very long time. it's like coming out of your shell after hiding emotionless and i am grateful for this show to get me out of it, i was devastated that it ended quickly, i don't like endings feeling I'd be back in my old boring life all alone and no spark...but this show... it was worth it. It was enough to light that dying candle inside me, atleast... i get to love you malec... I get to love you shadow world. Thank you...and Goodbye...

The vows sum up their entire relationship so perfectly, oh god I'm gonna cry.

The place looks much more like a wedding then when Alec was to marry Lydia, also maryse (forgot how to spell it) isn't telling magnus to get out and is walking him down the aisle crying. ❤️

When we were dating I said to him that my fav character is Magnus and he said that his favourite is Alec... and we start our relationship some days after .. we watch this scene together after almost 2 yeas relationship and we actually couldn't stop crying.

In Alec’s wedding with Lydia the song “war of hearts” by ruelle was playing and now that Alec and Magnus get the ending they deserve “I get to love you” by ruelle is playing

Oh I so loved seeing Maryse walking with Magnus and then giving him a hug. So beautiful

This story means too much, really too much for us, the lgbt and Bipoc. The way they fight for each other and find all kind of hardship, but still wanting to live together and love each other, makes me cry of hope. This story is not just a cute ship with a happy ending, it's a diverse gay couple getting married and being honored and, for once, not getting killed or turned apart at the end. If there is a reason Malec touches so many souls is the realistic hope and it brings to our communities. It's about real acceptance, loving the difference and affective commitment. Thank you for this, Shadowhunters series.

Can we talk about Maryse taking Magnus to the isle? It had being talked about but I have my own interpretation. This is the *ULTIMATE* sign of her trust on their love. Deliver the man who will dedicate every second of his life to love and protect Alec. And the kiss and the hug is her way to say: "Thank you, Magnus, for bringing so much happiness my son's life." And that's it. Thanks for coming my TED Talk.

This wedding is THE BEST WEDDING I've ever seen, even better than any weddings I went to ಥ‿ಥ

I just love the details they put in this wedding. Like in contrast to Alec's last wedding the gold is emphasized against the darker tones (Gold, in the Shadowhunters U, means marriage), meaning this is a 'real' marriage. Add to the fact that both guys are more into darker tones, this just screams real MALEC MARRIAGE!

He finally got everything he deserved.

through everything he has been through magnus finally got to marry someone he loves heart and soul and after years of putting himself in the dark alec finally got his happily every after being just who is with someone who loves him endlessly. these two mean everything. i couldn’t be prouder of how far they have come

I know the whole marriage scene was absolutely perfect, but for me the best part is when Maryse and Magnus are walk down and she looks at him and you see the tears in her eyes and the smile on her face when she turns to look at Alec!!! Instant feels right in the heart, and makes my own eyes leak!!!!

When Maryse started tearing up, it never fails to get me emotional.
