Glad to hear!
Thank you so much for the warmup video. i have been struggling so much with belting as I have trouble lightening up the vocal chord, and kept thinking about just pulling chest voice up. Your exercise has helped me find my belt. Also just out of curiosity, the belt sound you were making around 6:25 was that a more head-mix belt? I definitely think I heard a change in the color

Glad it was helpful! I went back and listened. Good ears! In one of the arpeggios I did mix a bit (actually a sound I like to use), but most of the arpeggios is in belt. Good belt sound, when produced correctly should not sound strained or heavy and should be able to have dynamic range in it (not always big and loud)
I feel the urge to flip going higher, I feel a slight wobble going high and I can`t tell if its head voice, maybe a bit of mix? but its forward and loud. I`ll keep practicing! many thanks

Thanks for sharing! It is very common to "flip" into head voice, especially if that is what you've been accustomed to doing. It takes practice to retrain the brain to isolate the vocal folds and allow only the edges to vibrate, producing the belt sound. At first it may feel like you're tightening, since you are pulling the folds into close approximation, but it should never be painful or feel strained -- really, when you're belting correctly it feels very open and free.

You don't have to go all the way up, if you're just starting I'd suggest you take it slow, up to your limit (for the time)...remember the voice is a muscle and it stretches. Another tip, make sure you warm up prior to this exercise so you're voice is warm and elastic enough to stretch. Hope this helps🤙🏽

@@Felixkioko. i used to be able to belt much higher and felt like i should’ve been able to do this exercise without cracking :/ ill stay consistent though and see if i make progress! thank you :)

Belting -- and singing in classical placement for that matter, in the higher range takes a tremendous amount of diaphramic support. If you stagnate your support or release your support, the voice will crack (or you'll feel fatigue of the voice as it will force you to have to hold the note by sheer tension of the vocal muscles).
I'm going to be honest - I did this entire warm up and I'm not actually warmed up to sing well still.

You may need to first use a daily warm up to give your voice a general warm up and then use the belt warm up to focus on placement and production of belt voice.
