The dash 8 q300 is my favorite turboprop, I love how the 4 blade one sounds and the intense cabin vibration compared to the more newer quieter ATR an its quiet 6 blade prop. The q300 has a great sound as well while taxiing

I enjoy turboprops (other than the increased cabin volume). You can feel the power in those engines when you take off and I like how they bump around more in the sky.

Agreed. Just went on one of these. You can feel the power. What I find strange is the slowing down seems more like a car slamming on the breaks.

I think turboprops are FANDABIDOSY!!!! I have flown from Vancouver YVR to Victoria many occasions . Majestic!!

I've rode on a turboprop but i didn't expect that much but it was a great ride I didn't fret when i rode one.

I am a very big fan of Maldivian airliners

I'm surprised by how large the island group is. Taking an hour to get back to Male means quite a vast stretch of islands. Hope the seats were comfortable. Flown on the Dash a number of times and so much depends on how well designed and padded the seats are!

The last turboprop I flew on was a Saab 340 and it was LOUD.

The last one i flew on was actually the same exact aircraft this guys flew lol

Maldivian also has an A320 And an A321 and before they had to dornier 225s

Fabulous scenery. Personally, I am not keen on the reality of propeller aircraft, they are quite noisy and slow, but I like the idea of them. If I get myself into the right mood, by blocking out what is around me, I can pretend that it is 1938 and I am flying on one of the first long distance inter-continental flights, say from Australia to Europe! Yes, I am a dreamer and a romantic! LOL!

Well, I don't like flying, since I suffer from fear of flying, and somehow, turboprop planes make me feel more nervous (although I realize very well that there's no reason to).

The only USP for a turboprop is short take offf and landing, it's a niche that they fill for small airports, but almost everything else; celiling, range, noise is inferior.
