Malcolm X - A Person's Deeds

Malcolm X, El Hajj Malik, was a true African and muslim. This inspiring speech shows his distinction between a person with white skin and a racist with baseless 'white-skin' supremist beliefs. A lot of such baseless racists beliefs still affect politicians today leading to direct and proxy wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Africa and other parts of the world.

Before then I was feeling lost during school while learning so much about Eurocentric history and idealogies. I derived a greater sense of self-worth and a better perspective of reality and my placement in it after learning about him as well as others who sacrificed their lives in exchange for our lesser constraints and independence.

I wish the 22 Million Black Americans around that time would have all went by his philosophy. He really had a gift for seeing things for what they were and speaking his mind about it at all times. This is the bravest man I have ever learned about. I'd give anything to go back in time and save him.. because our people needed him, his strength, and wisdom. The reason I share this is because I've seen trouble and experienced certain events that have triggered bitter thoughts. This isn't hypothetical - but regardless of all these unfortunate experiences, I would always lead the life of a positive individual. I keep it real, at all times and whenever I could, I try to make the change for the betterment. I am not a martyr. No, by no means, I am perfect. But, by all means, I am able to stand up for my rights and challenge an idea or ideas if I know...

I can now appreciate the accuracy of the position Malcolm X articulated. It cost him his life for the statements of truth about America that America was and still is not willing to face, so it became necessary to silence this voice of the time that was forcing America to look at the man in the mirror. Thank you for posting this lesson in American History.

I love Malcolm's ecumenicist preachments. He might have offered discrimination between religions, but he didn't. Proof positive that Malcolm was a believer in congruence between peoples.
