Discrimination in Malaysia is not just a fact, is a law. Ask to chinese or indian ancestors malaysian people 😢. I lived there for some months. I was shocked about it. Segregation at school, at university, at hospital, everywhere. So hard to see bunch of students mixed together. Actually there is a concrete diaspora, chinese ancestors malaysian are going away if they can, some of them told me horrible situation and if you search on Google is even worse. Wake up Malaysia, you're so beautiful country with gentle people. Find a way to build up a movement of new generation of integrate people!

Malaysia and Singapore both have their unique charms and strengths, making it hard to choose one over the other. Personally, I think it ultimately depends on what you value most. Malaysia's diversity in culture, delicious street food, and stunning natural landscapes are a definite plus. On the other hand, Singapore's modernity, cleanliness, and efficient public transportation are hard to beat. Overall, I have to say Malaysia is the winner because of the value for money. I traveled to Malaysia last year and had an amazing time me and my family absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back. I feel like Singapore is more catered towards business people and luxury. Loved this comparison, i cant wait for your next video!

Malaysia’s RapidKL system is pretty good I found but also Grab is soooo cheap, can get almost anywhere around KL for less than $10 AUD. For me it’s no contest Malaysia everyday of the week, Singapore is very small, you can pretty much see everything in 3 or 4 days, in Malaysia you need a good 4 or 5 days just to explore KL then you have places like Malacca, Ipoh, Penang, Langkawi and then the east coast and Borneo.

Malaysia is cheaper because of the weak currency whearas in Singapore is a strong currency 3.45 ringgit to $1 Singapore. If you earn and spend in Singapore, in fact, Singapore is cheaper than Malaysia. One example, both earn the same 3k sing dollar and 3k ringgit to their respective country, you may get an iphone cost $1,399 and 4,699 ringgit, that means you only need 0.5 month to get an iphone in Singapore, and you need 1.5 month to get the same phone in Malaysia. If your country currency is strong wherever you go is cheap, whereas the currency is weak, wherever you go is expensive. 15:04

Singapore has a higher standard of living, which means basic amenities, food, utility bills, petrol, healthcare, dental care cost more. Most Singaporean earn the Singapore dollar to spend it in Singapore, not Malaysia so the conversion rate only applies if you spend it in Malaysia. Cheap currency has its strong points, such as competitive pricing for exporting goods and being an attractive place for tourism and investments. It's the same reason why expats prefer Malaysia over Singapore because rent is extremely costly in Singapore and the same price can get you a luxurious condominium with money left to spare. Malaysia is basically Singapore at a fraction of the price

  • @YadVenturess

I think you are bias on your comparison and the score is not necessary. Msia cheap for you because of their low rate currency. Who don't love that!? Msia have a lot of places to visit because they are big country with many states. That can't be compare to tiny island of Spore. You make a mistake eating in restaurant at Serangoon, the price targeted for tourist. If you say Msia will only cost around RM 5 to 6 that is true when you eat at local eatery. If you were to eat at Spore food court, it will be $8 to 9. A bit costly but still affordable and better, right? Peace.

Singapore has both nature and the city. You should go trekking at Sungei Buloh Nature reserve, botanical gardens, southern ridges, macritchie reservoir, pulau ubin, sister's island etc. We got nature too! To me, it is unfair to compare 2 countries of very different sizes. Singapore is a city state, while Malaysia has multiple cities spanning over 2 considerable land size, 1 in the west side and the other is on Borneo island. Of course Malaysia would have much much more land size for nature

What is the purpose of comparison? Singapore is just a tiny country and everything there was expensive, where Malaysia is very more cheaper. Almost everyday Singaporeans cross the border coming down making a visit to Malaysia to taste 'a better life' in Malaysia. Ha ha! If you say Malaysia is diverse, Singapore is also diverse. Malaysia has Malay, Chiness, Indian, Singapore is also same. If you say Singapore is clean, Malaysia is also clean, but Singapore as a tiny country more easy to clean the whole part of the country. Ha ha! If you say Singaporean are richer than Malaysian then it is true. So, be specific with your comparison. If you say Malaysia having more attractive places, it is sure because Malaysia has 16 states (including 3 Federal Terriotary) where Singapore is just that one state. So, again, you should be specific with your comparison - on what subject?

We appreciate your opinions on both Malaysia and Singapore. I guess we often have a greater appreciation for other countries, particularly when compared to the things that are unavailable or lacking in our own. In actuality, every country has a distinctive history, culture, way of life, and progress. Depending on each person's individual taste, some of them may suit some people while not all may be as appreciative. Comparing Singapore to Malaysia is similar to comparing Malaysia to Indonesia in terms of magnitude. A small country might be easier to run than a large one, and different cultures and people may have different mindsets. Sometimes learning more about a country requires more time than judging it based on its first impression.

It's the more high end restaurants that has food that costs more than $15. Only the rich will pick Singapore as most middle income Malaysian is "poor" doing the same jobs, example Uniqlo Supervisor is paid SGD 2.2k (MYR 7.6) while same job in Malaysia is SGD 730 (MYR 2.5k) yet their products are sold at same SGD price in both countries. • @ktchia4740

In comparing SG with MY one must take into account a fundamental ground. The former is a city-state with no country to speak of, the latter is a conventional country-state. Hence nature or cost must be based on a different perspective. One is an advanced, orderly, clean, safe….. place, while the other is not. In short it is just an apple-orange comparison!

  • @ktchia4740

    @ktchia4740

Be specific, Bukit Bintang vs Orchard Rd, KL Bird Park vs SG Bird Paradise, for instance. Or try to do a walking or cycling tour in KL, or needless to say anymore. Even for nature you should compare on the basis of a city. You will marvel the amount and accessibility of nature in SG. Value for money must be judged on whether for the same price you can get the same quality or level of experience.

A fairer comparison would be Singapore and KL. I'm Australian, so have no bias - I think the fact this guy rated SG as having better food and talked about prices means all he did in SG was hang around the downtown area and get ripped off at touristy / expat areas. Yes Singapore is more expensive than Malaysia but it's no different (in fact better value options) than the UK or Australia. Malaysia also isn't that cheap for locals who earn in ringgit.

And another point I would like to add here..in terms of future world trading industry, when the project of rebuilding the GOLDEN SILK ROAD is completed, definitely Malaysia will be the linking point for southern archipelago countries. Reason why DPR CHINA have less interest with Singapore and why they're focusing on helping Malaysia to build Johor Iskandariah, strengthen the Malaysia sea port system and Malaysia's train system. But in terms of who got the first world country, hands down to Singapore but it won't be that long before becoming under the shadow of Malaysia soon. Still for the present and the future, Singapore will be the best country in the world with their banks being the top notch when executing super magical works on money thingy. This is the few things that made Singapore as the first world country because their banks is their only major power house. But soon, when talking about the real industry dealing with technology, trading and natural resources, no doubt Malaysia will be not just a first world country but also the main major player of ASEAN. But still, banks in Malaysia will still not going to do the same as Singapore as Malaysia's banking system will be too busy in handling real money from the real global trade. As long as the government of US and their allies stop destroying the major countries that utilize and activate the GOLDEN SILK ROAD like Middle East, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Russia and so on, the future of Malaysia will be secured. Just to add, those countries mentioned above are part of the GOLDEN SILK ROAD, with the Middle East being the last stop in the route. The reason why the mythology book 'The Clash of Civilization' which was written by Samuel P Huntington states that "the enemy of progress in humanity is because of Islam and China". In actual fact, it is merely an excuse to destroy the countries involved in the GOLDEN SILK ROAD and hence prohibiting this from becoming a reality. If the GOLDEN SILK ROAD comes to realization, not only will the power of the USD diminish, Singapore would also be forgotten from the global trade front. This was something that made Lee Kuan Yew to be sadden and devastated during the separation of Singapore from Malaysia. He was a visionaire and he foresaw that this GOLDEN SILK ROAD thing will be happening.

During the 19th and 20th century, a significant amount of Hainanese decided to move south - which was then widely known as Nanyang (南洋) - particularly to Singapore. The dish came into fruition in the 1920s, by a Hainanese chef named Wang Yiyuan who was living in Singapore. It then started to gain popularity in the mid 20th century by a chef named Moh Lee Twee, a Singaporean of Hainanese descent, whose Swee Kee Chicken Rice Restaurant operated at Middle Road for five decades.

Malaysia of course….. as a frequent visitor to both countries , nothing special about Singapore other than it’s advanced infrastructure and transport system….but people are rude, food is bland and everything looks like it’s a carbon copy of most other cities in the world. You might feel safe from criminals but anxious at the same time wondering if whatever you’re doing is illegal simply like chewing gum…. Believe it or not , drugs user are everywhere in Singapore it is scary….. Malaysia of course not as sterile or advanced but what you see is what you get, vast green spaces, modern infrastructure with decent transport systems…. There’s so much you can fo in Malaysia… shopping, beach, entertainment, and world class food destination…. People are so nice and respectful….. despite being multi cultural everyone lives in harmony…. Weak currency is bad for the locals but great for visitors

Malaysians have to accept the fact that competition will be a deciding factor in the 21st century. And this competition simply means if our population can compete not only with Singapore [lost some time ago] but within ASEAN and the rest of the world. In such scenario, no community can hide behind its own imagined scenario but what is actually taking place in the 21st Century today. Either you compete or you "close shop", and with their emphasis on non STEM subjects for their school going youths, your prediction is as good as mine. Indeed, at this point of time, the current leadership has a mighty challenge in shaping the future of this once wonderful country!

S'pore was a British colony from 1824 to 1963. S'pore, together with Sabah & Sarawak joined Malaya to form the federation of Malaysia. The hainanese chicken rice was created by a Chinese immigrant in S'pore but I am sure the recipe of this dish today might not be exactly the same.

For signing the treaty, the sultan received 33,200 Spanish dollars and a monthly allowance of 1,300 Spanish dollars for life, while the temenggong received a monthly stipend of 700 Spanish dollars in addition to a lump sum of 26,800 Spanish dollars.6 The sultan and temenggong agreed to maintain free trade in their possessions and were forbidden to have any correspondence with foreigners without the EIC’s permission.

@@TheMan-xp4cb S'pore did not appear suddenly in 1965. In the 20s, there were already many Chinese immigrants selling food on the streets. These immigrants came to S'pore and Malaya to make a living with the intention of returning to their hometowns in China, one day. These hawkers were relocated to the hawker centres in the 70s. In fact many Chinese food in M'sia have their origins in China southern provinces too. In that era, the Chinese or even indians in both S'pore and Malaya were free to travel around and could have exchanged their cooking recipes among themselves. How do you prove that all S'porean food are from yr country? I am pretty sure that there must be some created in S'pore and later got popular in M'sia and vice versa. I am sure , if it can happen today, it could happen in the past too. One example is the creation of yusheng (lo hei) , I am pretty sure it is a dish improvised from the traditional raw fish dish from China, created by the 4 heavenly chefs from a few local cantonese restaurants. I know you will argue that it is a dish created in Seremban but the restaurant does not have strong evidence. Another dish created by one of the restaurants-龙凤酒家(dragon phoenix restaurant) is the yam ring( 佛钵飘香), you can find this dish in the Malaysian menu too.

As a Malaysian I will just say Singapore is the best. Their people are smarter they are stronger they are richer. Their level is too high to be compared with Malaysia. We are hundred years behind them. Its too hurtful for us to be compared to this superpower country. Comparing Malaysia with this super power Singapore is like putting a M16 to a Malaysian head. Its too painful. You see Singapore and Malaysians will know how we failed badly. We fell behind so bad that we cant catch up anymore. Their 13 years old kids are s much smarter than our university graduates. And our university graduates working in Singapore as cleaners. Foreigners enjoy making videos like this but its just putting us Malaysians into shame.
