What you can get more of in Malaysia at nearly the same cost of living as in Japan is space, a peaceful and versatile life, and, most importantly, the ability to be happy all of the time.

Tq sunami for this video..its open up to a wider view for us to seeing more and more japanese expat moving into malaysia..i seen few J-youtuber also saying almost the same thing as you did..is worth the logic,if the pay basically almost the same but a better/new/challenging enviroment ,so why not to take the job there (malaysia).. most core element i found is that you guys find malaysia, even aki in japan before says almost the same thing.. 1- more relaxed in a work culture 2- the weather ,basically almost summer entire year 3- cloth wearing are much easier in term of working/daily outing 4- food got variety to taste 5 -natural disasters arent heavy like in the JAPAN 6- salary wise, few improvement/almost the same 7- cost of living in the near future,if there's more and more J-expat staying & assimilated with malaysia,i dont see as to why not the Japanese thing will be evolving in malaysia..we already got your takoyaki, sushi,a few dishes we mix it up into our menu now... overall,i loved your content and journey here..

Good day Sunami. Malaysia have 13 state, 3 federal territories. You will find it there was different cost of living at each state and different living style. Hopefully you are enjoying stay at Malaysia & discovery lot of delicious cuisine & street food at each state and different style taste too. Example Laksa, Hokkien Mee, Otak-Otak & etc. it was different taste at each state. My best recommend state for short trip is Penang Island, Unesco Heritage at Melaka, Selangor & Sabah, Langkawi island at Kedah, Bukit Tinggi at Pahang & beautiful white beach at Redang Island, Terengganu.

One thing to note here that a lot of people made mistakes about. To know how the living costs actually the locals have to bear, converting the currency to just one to compare is not gonna reflect the real story. RM1900 might be cheap for Japanese but for us locals is way higher than some of our salary. My rule of thumb is for Japan-Malaysia comparison, 100yen=RM1. With that being said, 80000yen=RM800 and average salary that I found for Japan is 300K JPY/month=RM3000/month. Lowest salary for factory workers in Japan that I know is 200K JPY/month=RM2000/month which about the same in Malaysia. In KL, dont ever hope getting a house rent for less than RM1000, with RM550-800, we can barely get to rent rooms here. Outside of KL is different story. Same thing in Japan, if you want to know how we view the RM1900 rent with our income, to Japanese it's equivalent of 190K JPY compared to Japanese' incomes.

Although the living cost is roughly the same ( except for rent ) , disposable income in Malaysia is wayyy lower compared to Japan . Even working McD in Tokyo is more than enough with plenty to spare , but thats not the case in Malaysia . Quality of life is definitely better in Japan unless we dont mind living in a cramped room .

Membazir bagi kita yg gaji kecil. Tapi pada diorang ciput ja diorang belanja ni. Jumlah gaji basic dia dan suami l.kurang rm20k. Diorang pun tak ada anak. So belanja diorang berdua setakat rm6k ke rm10 k sebulan tak ada masalah. Ada beribu2 ringgit lagi diorang boleh simpan

Don’t question her expenses as she can afford it..for her,it’s affordable..we cannot tell other people how to live their life but yeah,we can suggest some of things maybe..her expenses not really necessary for Malaysian but needed for Japanese..so,no ‘waste’ term in her case..tapi kalau kita ada banyak duit pun banyak benda yang kita akan buat kan,maybe..☺️
