Since when did we discriminate against other religions? We don't have any sentiment about anti-Hindu in Malaysia. We respect all religion. One more thing, about Rohingya. A lot of Malaysian didn't like Rohingya because they wanted to claim our district. Also, they always look down on local people

Look up LTTE issue and the temple conflict that result with the death of a malay fireman a few years back.. and for Rohingya issue, Malaysian was pretty welcoming/neutral at first but after a while the Rohingya communities tend to cause disturbance and social problems with the locals. Thats why Malaysian increasingly becoming hostile towards Rohingya.. they brought up the attitude themselves and not respectful to the local authority.

Malaysians as majority are technically anti - Hindu. We give asylum to the wanted person of India, Zakir Naik and we dislike BJP's Pan- Hindu nationalism encroachment in Malaysia. Though there's one big golden idol Lord Murugan in the Batu Caves, Hindu nationalism is a threat to the society here.

3rd largest ethnic group in Malaysia is Indian. They consist of about 7% of our citizen and that doesn't include thousands of Indian national foreign workers with majority of them are Hindus. Our Malaysian Indian also gave big impact in term of cultures, food and language here. They play active role in our country as elite and professionals. There's a lot of Hindu temples here too and we celebrate Hindu's holiday as public holiday. Even my best friend is Indian (Hindu) and I'm ethnic Malay (Muslim). We have no issues with hindus here.

Anti-hinduism is not growing necessarily, rather it’s anti-Indian extremism. Hindus in Malaysia are peaceful and respectful but the ruling party in India has made controversial religious moves with Muslims in their nation that has caused distress to Muslims in India and by extension muslims to Malaysia.

Indonesian here who has lived in Malaysia for 13 yrs. We usually call each other as “serumpun” which means having the same root. Tbh, some ppl sometimes fight and even throw hate usually on social media. But in the end, in real life, the majority still love and respect each others. Bcs that’s how siblings work. We’re not just friends nor enemies, we’re brothers🇮🇩🇲🇾

There is an ethnicity in Malaysia called the "Peranakans", also known as Straits-born Chinese or Local Born. Peranakans are under the Chinese race category, they are mixed bloods where Chinese males intermarried local Malay women. Other variants of peranakans can be found across SEA, Indonesians have TiongHoa, Thailand call them Baba Nyonya. Indian-Chinese are called Chindians. Peranakans are multilinguists, they are very rare nowadays, can only be found in Penang and Melacca states of Malaysia, Singapore have them too.
