MALAYSIA IS SHOPPING MALL HEAVEN (BEST IN KUALA LUMPUR?)

In today's video I went shopping (and eating) at a Malaysia Shopping Mall called Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur. This shopping mall is known to be a local favourite. Is this the best shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia?

I can’t say Malaysia have the best Malls in the World but I would say they are maybe among the very top 5. While I was watching you looking for the food court and you went inside the Gardens mall, I say omg why you didn’t see it, it’s just on your left hand side. Anyway glad you enjoy your food. Yes food in the malls are a bit pricey than outside, that’s normal. Well hope you having a great time in KL. Take care & stay safe. Cheers!

That ayam percik sauce is made from coconut milk cooked with some spices, thicken and then doused over the grilled chicken. Nasi kerabu is a healthy rice dish because it comes with fresh vege salad. Every mall in Malaysia has a food court in it.

If you enjoy shopping mall, try 1Utama in Bandar Utama. Midvalley Megamall is nothing compared to that. It's the 8th biggest shopping mall in the world if I'm not mistaken. Have fun!

There many more shopping mall worth visiting such as IOI City Mall, Sunway Pyramid, One Utama, Curve and IKEA Damansara, Pavilion Damansara etc. Try Genting Highland/Colmar Tropicale and Cameron Highland as well. Its all worth a visit. Try some of the famous restaurant. The food court isn,t at the top of the quality. There is many nice authentic food. Don't miss it. (no more food court, it isn,t nice)

Welcome to my neck of the woods. There a few food courts in MV megamall. I know there is one on the top most floor near Daiso. One near where you were (MBG) and there's one opposite Upeh but that is more a mini food court i guess.Anyway glad you enjoyed the nasi kerabu. The crackers you were asking about is called keropok ikan/fish crackers. They have a variety of keropok's and also sometimes come in shrimp flavor. Hope this helps 😊 ps: The rice dish you had at the mamak is called nasi kandar. Nasi kerabu is more a east coast part of Malaysia kinda dish while kandar is more north side of Malaysia 😁

If you go up all the way to the top floor of Mid Valley, there's a big cinema there and many more places to eat including a Malay food court. There are several food courts in Mid Valley including a Chinese food court called Popcorn in the second floor of Mid Valley. Gardens is usually emptier than Mid Valley.

Iora is a Singaporean brand. As for local clothing brand that you could find in malls, we have Padini, VOIR, Soda, South China Sea, BritishIndia, Daisy, Brands Outlet, Vincci n etc. ELLE is an international brand but it’s not as easy to find a ELLE Boutique physical shop outside of Malaysia. And unlike other international brand like Zara, H&M n etc ELLE seems to have some of its own locally exclusive pieces for every country.

True...the place is big(even though not the biggest in Malaysia).Mid-Valley Megamall (opened in 1999) & the Gardens (2007) runs parallel on the site and connected underground where you were earlier in the video. I believe the developer & the management of the malls are of the same. The Gardens was opened like few weeks after the Pavilion KL in 2007.

There are Pandan Rice With Deep Fried Spices Chicken, Penang Assam Laksa, Nyonya Laksa, Curry Laksa, Nasi Kunyit With Chicken Curry, Nyonya Vege Rice With Ayam Percik, Pasembur & others. They're among my favourite foods. You can find the Sepiring outlet in most of the popular malls in KL. Among Malaysian local brands are Padini, Brand Outlets, Vincci, Soda, Seeds, Nicole.

Food court food are normally lower priced because the rent is cheaper so they are normally located at cheaper floors like near the top level or lower ground. Also if you’re looking for local products they are also generally located at the upper levels where the rent is cheaper. The big brands have big capitals so they will take prime locations. Generally speaking.

Anyway there is local food court inside the shopping mall and the food court in Malaysia is normally term as "Medan Selera" . Then again, ever wonder why Malaysia has a lot of malls cause your answer about sweating in the video sort of gave away the hint because Malaysia's climate is all year round hot and humid and to escape the heat from the Sun then escaping to those air condition malls are a way of escaping the heat outside...😂😅

You won't really find Malay clothes in an upscale mall like Mid Valley. Malls like those is where locals come to escape local clothes and get a taste of American/international apparel. If you want Malay clothing, you would need to go to specific boutiques along Petaling Street or Brickfields or one of the low-class malls. My favourite mall to go to these days is Setapak Central Mall. You will find lots of Malay dresses there in open racks (no dressing room available so you need to know your size)
