Madey masih ade lagi. Masa ni dia hilang kerusi parlimen sbb dipecat Dr umno krn kritik tunku. September tunku letak jawatan, tun hussien jd pm krn tekanan byk pihak susulan peristiwa 13 mei 1969.

Saya lahir 1965 di Gombak, KL. Video ini tulen dan banyak kenangan dapat disingkap. Namun zaman berubah...2019 kini. Tak sama keadaan seperti di tahun video ini dibuat. Kehidupan dahulu mudah.

1970's I was just a small boy living in Kuala Terengganu town...still remember the post office, the duyong island, seberang takir, such a nostalgic view...wish could turn back the time...

7.26 budak tu pun skrg mungkin dlm lingkungan antara 57 ke60 tahun. Kalau anda terlihat video ini silalah komen. Masa ni kereta pun byk yg segi empat, kecuali VW Beetle dan Morris Minor. Datsun P. Ramlee pun ada, Simca, Mercedes Gemuk tu pun masih ramai org guna, Renault, kereta sport P. Ramlee dlm filem Madu Tiga tu pun ada, warna kuning kat Ganu. Ford Cortina, Austin Cambridge yg teksi tu. Byk lg, tp ada yg dah x ingat modelnya, sbb usia pun lebih tua drp filem ni, otak asyik loading je. Walimatul Urus mesti ada Silat Pulut, yg jd pengantin tu kalau masih hidup mesti dlm lingkungan usia 75 ke 80 tahun. Semoga hidup anda dlm peliharaan Allah swt. Fraser's Hill masa tu masih hutan belantara, mesti sejuk giler tu, skrg pun masih sejuk. Bas Ghongak kat Kuala Berang, tingkap bas tu bahaya bila ditutup, kalau bas tu bergegar, tingkap tu terhempas, kalau kena jari, mmg pengsan i tell you. I have to differ with you on this. Photos from the 1960s and early 1970s may look nostalgic and lovely to you today but during those years, there was widespread poverty across the land. Majority of the people earned low incomes as the economy was heavily dependent on agriculture, rubber and tin mining with very little industries. Many towns had primitive sewage disposal system and human waste was collected from bucket latrines at the back of houses and shops. Infectious diseases like tuberculosis and cholera were rampant, killing thousands annually. Most people grew their own vegetables, fruits and reared livestock in their gardens to supplement their meagre diet. If you were a student in those days, you could expect to receive corporal punishments like caning or being slapped by the teachers over trivial offences. If you asked me whether I would want to go back to those days, it will be a resounding NO from me.

Nothing can beat 70's and 80's Kat Malaysia... Tenang, hidup Tak susah, Tak Ada perkauman,Tak Ada pendatang asing, kerharmonian antara Tiga kaum utama memang bagus....banyak tempat yang belum diterokai, semuanya memang sukar digambarkan dengan kata kata....Malaysia was a Heaven on those days...❤️❤️❤️🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾

My parent's childhood years. What I noticed most is their skin color, dulu semua ramai main panas. Keluar rumah. Panas panas pun rilek je. Sekarang lama kelamaan kulit melayu makin putih and terang. Putih tu sampai ada yang tak natural. Betapa lajunya beauty standards bertukar, semua orang nak jadi putih. I think the asian tan aka our natural skin color is beautiful as it is! No need to erase it.

They are the ones building , your skyscrapers , your roads , your apartments , office blocks , cleaning your roads and taking out your rubbish . They are also in your factories providing cheap labour and learning skills and services faster then our lazy locals , some of whom look for a free ride from government handouts . In another thirty years most of the skilled labour will be from them and the local lads have to learn from them . They work hard through much pain , sorrow and sacrifice . They are a human being just like you . People in general want to feel big and important ... but forget we are all just a flicker in the Universe and we are all struggling to come to terms with these truths . Most of the people who you see in these videos were people who have worked hard , raised children , some of whom are leaders of this beautiful country . Respect all human beings , local or foreigners , tingkatkan your lman , be free , happy and kind in your heart Epul . Peace bro .

Saya baru pulang dari Itali (2023), ternampak ramai pekerja-pekerja/warganya yang berasal dari Bangladesh, Afrika (termasuk Afrika utara), Filipina, India, China dll. Negara2 lain seperti UK, Perancis, German, Sweden lagi tinggi peratus warganya yang berasal dari luar benua Eropah.

The story behind the footage and the person who shot it would be nice JK. Would love to hear more. My family moved to Malaysia in 1972, when I was eight. My father was the chief resident engineer on Malaysia's first major highway project (Federal Highway) .. he spent most of the rest of his professional life there .. and I myself spent many years in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Rindunya Malaysia dahulu ayah saya seorg posmen.setiap kali saya pandu kereta di KL abah akwn cerita setiap sejrah asal tmpt tu...trutama waktu raya kami shopping di Sogo.abah akan ckp dlu ni tempat asalnya Suleiman Court.rumah flat...ada org cina ni baik setiap kali htr surat bagi buah limau kat abah...kdg bagi air tin...pastu lepak kat tmn permainan bawah tu makan roti smbil tgok org masuk berbaris tgok cinema seberang jalan tu...terus otak sy memikirkan keadaan lama itu...nostalgik....inshallah sy akan teruskan merakam Kuala Lumpur smeoga menjadi lipatan sejarah utk generasi akan dtg kenali setiap tmpt

As if the celluloid had never been passed through the projector more than 5 times. Pic very crisp and clean. I suspect, this is a personal collection of an enthusiast. Most shots are handheld. Sharp focusing was not prioritised. But as an archive, this is a superb. The guy who shot this footage knew these shots will be a historic record.

Tahun 1970 saya ditingkatan 1, di Sek. Men. Kg. Kerunci, Pantai. Gunting rambut di tepi Sungai Klang (Jalan Melayu), diJln Tuanku Abdul Rahman selalunya pada hujung tahun tempat membeli buku teks sekolah sebab di Jln. TAR banyak kedai buku. Kenangan ini memang tak dapat dilupakan, terima kasih kpd yg upload video ini.

Yes those were the days in circa 1970.RTM only had two channels then and transmission started only at 6.00 p.m in the evening during the week days.But on Saturday and Sunday TV transmission started much earlier at 3.00 p.m.Popular TV programmes then were Ultraman,Banasplit,Monster from Outerspace,Night Gallery,the Black and White Minstrel Show,Man from UNCLE and many more.There was even a live telecast of the 1970 Thomas Cup final matches. Yes that was 1970 nearly half a century ago.We did not have many TV stations such as Astro then.The cinema then was another entertainment outlet but tickets were very cheap for Third Class.

@@Banom7a1970 was nearly a half a century ago.When I recalled those times I always remember that voice of my late mother,"Yau go and get a small tin of condensed milk.".A small can of condensed milk cost only fifty cents then.

@@yiseng4602 welp, $0.50 is RM2.71 today if its adjusted to inflation, although, there's no more susu pekat manis, it's all palm oil creamer disguised as one (The only one that still is actual milk that I remember is F&N condensed milk with the gold lid - not RM2 though)

The High Chapparal I can only remember the actress Linda Cristal and Cameron Mitchell.The fellow who played "Blue Boy" well I have forgotten his name. Combat well I still remember Vic Morrow.

Coming back from school I remember the times I had in 1970.The World Cup finals in Mexico with Pele,Gordon Banks,Riveira,Bobby Charlton and Beckenbauer.Then those TV series Time Tunnel,Night Gallery,Banana Split,Monster from Outer Space,Ultra Man(in English) and those Cowboy movies shown on Saturday afternoon. And there was the 1970 Thomas Cup finals which was beamed live featuring Malaysia and the Asian Games at Bangkok.

Bestnya , rindu tahun 90, 80 Dan 70 an ,, hidup tak terkejar2 mcm zaman ni ,, dek kerana arus kemajuan semua nk faster faster n faster ,, tercipta lagi teknologi demi teknologi utk mudahkn benda yg tk susah manapun ,, atleast jenayah Dan kjhatan pun makin cepat Dan licik ,, dan buatkan kita terpksa sentiasa alert ,,hidup zamn skrg sgt memenatkan ,

I miss my childhood, we had great times staying in a Malay neighbourhood. And we cared for each other not like now. Sad sad :(

I was only a child of ten then.My family was residing in Teluk Anson As my father was working for the customs we lived at Custom Compund which is near to Padang Tembak. Teluk Anson in 1970 was not advanced as it is now.In 1970 there was no main bus station as we had to wait for the bus to arrive to fetch us home at a rakety shack just in front of the playground now long gone. Although things were cheap in 1970 life for us was a daily struggle to make ends meet. Mum bought us roti canai for lunch before we boarded the bus for school. In 1970 barely thirteen years after independence,our country then had recovered from the wounds of the 13 May 1969 tragedy.And Tun Razak had taken over the premiership from Tunku Abdul Rahman. He began to implement affirmative race based policies favouring the ingenious race.The political landscape of the country changed dramatically when Tun Razak took over from Tunku.By 1970 Umno was firmly in control.From 1970 onwards Umno called the shots.It was no more Alliance bargaining as it was during Tunku's premiership.

@@slum0523 your father could have stayed in Customs Compund which was opened in 1963.My family stayed there until November 1972 when my father was transferred to the Customs in Ipoh. I guess your father could have been familiar with the "Sap-Kum Tim" or "Ten Shops" or even the "Asrama Putri"located right at the end of the road with its entrance.Our house is just yards away from the hostel meant for Malay girls. And we also have this Malay mosque and the popular Mat sundry shop. I guess too that your father must be familiar with the Oois whose son Ooi Poh Hwa whom we played together as kids.The Oois we're then staying in the first house facing the Batak Rabbit road.They stayed there until 1971 before they moved to Penang. We were also familiar with the Rajans and they were of mixed parentage.Unfortunately the father committed suicide by hanging himself to death in late 1968 as we were holidaying in Ipoh as it was the school holidays.The Rajans were staying in the last house which was reputed to be haunted.Even his wife went mad and had a fight with my mother in 1967 when I was in Standard One.His wife bit my mother's ear. Yes that last house where the Rajans stayed was evil and haunted as just weeks before we left for Ipoh,me and my brother could hear chantings and beating of sticks after midnight.It was scary and eerie as a Malay family too stayed there after the Rajans left in late 1968 as their father had committed suicide.They too said it was haunted and they left abruptly in late 1970.Their eldest daughter too was afflicted with madness.There is something not right with the last house.We used to play with two of their sons Hisham and Hashim and the youngest often told me his house was "puaka". Yes we are the Chans and my parents were familiar with the Oois and the Rajans.Your father may have known them.

Aku yang lahir pertengahan tahun 70 an pun rasa seronok hidup pada tahun 1980, apatah lagi hidup awal lagi zaman ni. Yg aku ingat, zaman ni semua kaum rapat dan x de rasa syak wasangka antara satu sama lain macam yg dah jadi sekarang.
