I have a 80 gallon tank and 2 small 10 gallon tank but I have about 25 cichlids in my 80 gallons and about 7 different types of cichlids, But almost all of my cichlids are starting to mate and I don't know if I need to separate the ones that are or leave them in the tank with the other ones that are mating?

What size do you sell them and roughly the price?

Which one is female?

You think I could house one of these with some convicts? If not I have some juliodochromis cichlids, but he might be too aggressive for that too. IF I HAD TOO, could I put it in with my Red Devils and Dovii? Haha that seems like a bad idea but could calm his aggression for sure, if not kill him.

lrod188 I had 3 yellow auratus cichlids, once one of them got old enough to show mature colors, he became fierce and killed one of the others while he was turning dark, at first I was guessing he was also a male, but now the male is relentlessly chasing the remaining female, I'm hoping to pick up 3-5 more Auratus soon, to spread the aggression.... Irod, let us know how things are going, and if you added another/more auratus to your tank, but from what I've read and experienced, you should probably add a more than one.

I was looking at these a few hours ago at my L.F.S, I think they will be too aggressive to put in my Dwarf Cichlids aquarium even though they don't grow no, aggree?

Rose Petals depending on the tank size u have them in will stunt there growth at maturity 40-70 gallon u should see 4-5in depending on crowdedness and nutrients 70-100 5-6in and 100-200 6-8in rarely in the double digits

Regular Old Plumbus that is a lie. I have a 40 gallon and they all grew to 4 to 6 inches. mbuna don't typically grow bigger than 3 to 4 but ironically enough it said that they will grow larger in tanks than in their natural habitat (lake Malawi). search it up.

13 weeks guess what 3 things i learned mbunas and many african cichlids grow up to 4 inches max biggest african cichlid is the "Boulengerochromis microlepis" if u want cichlids that are agressive and grow decent sized get south american cichlids
