Malagueña with all Modes of the Major Scale for Guitar

Let's see what the famous Spanish theme Malagueña sounds like if we use all of the modes of the major scale. The notes/intervals that are different from the original riff are given on the screen, and are indicative of that particular mode.
Try this with other scales and modes like modes of the Melodic Minor scale! This is a fun music theory exercise you can do on so many songs that you already know.

Your Videos are Very Enjoyable as well as Very Informative.. (and Very Funny at Times! 🙂) Thank You!
The Lydian sounded like it wanted to modulate out of itself into B major at any moment. The mixolydian had a sense of jolly humour, Phrygian Dominant sounded authentic , Ionian sounded Cucaracha , Dorian sounded bluesy , Phrygian sounded romantic , Aeolian sounded serious , Locrian sounded like a dance macabre.

I'm gonna try a augmented scale one, I wonder how that would sound. If you would've done one on the video, probably you would've put it right before the dim one. Good show Scott bro ❤🎸
They all sound like playing banjo except for phyrigian dominant 👍 Locrian sounded really cool to me and Lydian made me wince.

Locrian has a very interesting dark tone...
Locrian actually vibes if you resolve that diminished chord at the end lol

Lydian is the best!
Now it's understandable why phrygian works best for the Duende.
That was rough. Sabicus is spinning in his grave.
Imagine Zeppelin playing kashmir in a Ionian mode.
Some of them sounds like Guajira and sevillanas 😁
