MALAGA, SPAIN TOP 10 (You Will REGRET Skipping This!) | Malaga Spain Vlog
In this Malaga Spain Vlog, I take you with me as I explore the beautiful city of Malaga, located on the Costa Del Sol in Southern Spain, showing you the top 10 best things to do in Malaga, Spain. To start off the Malaga Spain top 10 list, I head to the Malaga Cathedral, located in the center of the city. The Malaga Cathedral, nicknamed the One Armed Woman, because construction never finished, is a beautiful cathedral to admire on both the inside and outside. Next in this Malaga Spain Vlog, I walk right across the street to Malaga Park. Malaga Park is a little tranquil oasis in the middle of the city, with tons of beautiful greenery.
Next up on my Malaga Spain Top 10 list, we walk over to the Pompidou Museum, which is such a cool, colorful cube structure with some incredible artwork inside. Even if you aren’t into art, the Pompidou Museum is a really unique structure to admire from the outside. Number 4 on my list of the 10 best things to do in Malaga, Spain is taking us to Muelle Uno, which is an open-air pedestrian area filled with tons of boutique shops, restaurants, and cafes right by the water. Muelle Uno is a great place to stroll around and relax!
After walking along the promenade, my next stop on my Malaga Vlog is to Malaga’s main city beach, called Malagueta Beach. Although Malagueta Beach can be very crowded, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the scenery and water is! After roaming the beach and going for a quick dip, the next stop on my Malaga Spain Travel Vlog, and number 6 on my list of Malaga Spain Top 10, is taking us to the Gibralfaro Castle. The Gibralfaro castle is a unique castle that’s tons of fun to explore, and is home to some of the best views in the entire city of Malaga!
Not far from the Gibralfaro Castle, is the Alcazaba, another impressive monument and definitely one of the best things to do in Malaga, Spain. Right next to the Alcazaba in Malaga, and next up on my Malaga Spain Vlog, is taking us to the Roman Theatre, which is believed to be one of the oldest structures in all of Malaga!
After soaking up a bit of Malaga’s history, the next stop on my Malaga Vlog is taking us to the main shopping street in Malaga, Spain called Calle Marques de Larios. Many compare this street to 5th Avenue in New York City as it's home to all of the big and famous brands. If you want to shop in Malaga, Calle Marques de Larios is the place to go! The last stop on my Malaga Spain Travel Vlog and to round out my list of the Top 10 things to do in Malaga, Spain takes us to one of Malaga’s many rooftops to watch a beautiful sunset over the city!
I hope you enjoyed my Malaga Spain Vlog and found my Malaga Spain Top 10 list useful for your future trip to Malaga!

The King of Spain Carlos III sent the money to finish the cathedral to the Spanish governor of Louisiana (then Louisiana belonged to the Spanish empire) Luis de Unzaga y Amézaga, brother-in-law of Bernardo de Gálvez, so that they could be sent as aid to the Americans who had left. rebelled against England to gain its independence. Today, a bilingual tombstone in the cathedral commemorates this fact that in the past promoted the twinning of the city of Mobile with Malaga.

Thanks for the video. I was a Auxiliar de Conversation last year and was 1 hour from Valencia and 2 hours from Barcelona, right on the Mediterranean. Loved it, but village was too small. I didn't get to travel around as much as I'd have liked. Malaga area is high on my list, as I'm considering retirement a bit early. Probably will take a trip in a few weeks and will check the area out.

Thanks Yasmin! I did do this all in one day, but it's a lot of walking! There is lots of good food in Malaga, but I don't recall any in particular! Enjoy your trip!

Perhaps too late an answer, since your question was posted two months ago, but anyway... One of the top things to do Matt left out, is a visit to the Atarazanas market. You will find an amazing range of fresh foods there (fishmarket closed on Monday) and places to eat them. Go in the morning, as the market closes at noon. I promise you won't regret it. By the way, covering Malaga in one day is a bit short if you want to enjoy this marvelous city to the fullest.
Great video! Did you do all these in 1 day? We’re they all within walking proximity of each other? I’ll be in southern Spain in Feb and am planning a one day trip to Malaga so wondering if I can see all this in one day?
Great video! What rooftop is featured at 7:34?

Hi Matt, thank you so much for your video. I really enjoyed watching. We are planning a 13 day trip to Andalusia. We will start a Seville and end there too. We will be travelling by bus or train. We would like to go to Seville, Cordoba, Granada, Malaga and Ronda and back to Seville. How many days do you think we should stay in each town? Thanks once again for sharing
@MattKramerTravels
2 жыл бұрын
It depends what you like (bigger cities vs. small towns). If you are tight on time, I think you can do a day trip to Ronda, then 2-3 days in each other place. Each town/city has a lot of charm to it!
👍👍👍
Hi mat. What would you choose between malaga cordoba granada and cadiz? If you had only 1 day to explore. Which city would you choose and why?
@MattKramerTravels
Жыл бұрын
All really are great options so you can't go wrong. If I had to pick one for a day I would probably pick Cadiz. It's a really walkable city with lots of charm and there are a few beaches really close by!
If you had to choose between visiting Malaga or Valencia, which one would you choose? Same question for Valencia vs Madrid, and Cadiz vs Granada. Thanks in advance!
What month was this? Still looks really warm

Alcabaza😁?
Is Malaga clean? I am in Alicante at the moment and it is very nice and clean. However, the city center to me, is quite boring! Is Malaga more interesting than Alicante? I heard that Alicante has a bigger city vibe, but I am not feeling it!
