Chang, Wang, Tang, sounding like Dutt, Bhatt, Chatt of Bengali and Assamese origin are of Chinese origin. Heng Dang, an ahom sword sounds Chinese. Changmai/ Sangma are originally from around Chang Meo region, Thailand.

changmai and sangma are both different surnames..sangma is garo and changmai is ahom and they don't originate from chiangmai of Thailand
