So I'm not the only one using the ''stick to keep the guard open'' method haha

What a little beast! I assume that is the optional Makita approved “hold the door up” board? Lol

The good thing is that even though Makita doesnt advertise it, it also works for the lawn mover lineup. Even the battery lineup.

my favorite is the makita mulching "painters" tape for their mowers. helps keep the side discharge flap from opening when you mulch

Some guy needs to write a zen and the art of yard maintenance. Forget motorcycles.

Looks like 80:20. 80% sand, 20% soil. I just did a few tonne by hand. That looks like a better way to do it!

Actually this is how scarifying is done properly, it cuts through about 10mm deep into the roots which encourages new healthy growth, helps to break the compacted surface of the soil, cuts through unhealthy side shoot growth, creates channels which help with aeration if left open, or helps top dressing to penetrate deeper into the soil, not to mention also creates helpful channels for grass seed to sit in when over seeding. Maybe do some reading or watch a few lawn care experts on KZread before you comment next time 😄
