Apparently I got super lucky because I found this video immediately after having a friend show me a quick video on the interface. I'm glad I didn't have to do the searching you did but at least we all figured it out eventually. ;)

Dude. Thanks for this tutorial. I have been using Ableton since Live 7 and love it. I've recorded bands, my own music and all sorts of experimentations. Although I can say I have used some of these methods in the past, this tutorial is still exemplary on giving a start to a piece of music. Using all different techniques for a purpose. Also I had to note how you began with a simple, almost ubiquitous chord flow, but showing still how by the end, with using the arranger's imagination the piece finished can sound entirely original. I have be messing around with ableton abit, most tutorials i've seen, showed the person making more complex pieces, other then the fact that made it harder to follow as a beginner, it made the expectation of what you are gonna make as a beginner get way to high. so i like the fact that you made your production simple in the tutorial and then showed what it could grow to be, made it a bit easier to play around with the program.
