Would like to know aside from using all scrap metal, what’s the cost of materials to compare to a store bout items. I’ve got more time then $$$. But I do have some many projects that my ADHD kicks in big time and I start a project only to jump on another one 😮😢

TIP: I couldn't believe how long-lasting and sharp a hacksaw blade could be until I got some Starrett blades at Azon for a couple3 bucks apiece. Nice set of holddowns. I particularly liked the angle blocks.

I don't use it when I weld thick metal or details fits close. In other situations I weld with filler rod

Доброго дня. Скажіть, будь ласка, чи можна зварювальним апаратом такого плану як у Вас (TIG) зварювати метал без газу? Так як у вас на відео 3:33 Я так розумію що газ (аргон) потрібен для зварювання з присадочним прутком для захисту звірювальної ванни.

Ні, не можна. Без аргону метал швидко окисляється та бризкається, цим самим забруднює електрод і, як наслідок, дуга стає нестабільною. Присадка тут ні до чого

A mini lathe and a drill press vise would have made short work of some operations.

acid remover is Kleen strip metal and steel etch in the USA its phosphoric acid based. otherwise use apple cider vinegar my welding friend said.
Easier way, buy some cheap F clamps, cut the base off and weld a pipe or bar on to suit your hole size. I have heaps on my fixture table. Good video though.

@@GRINwood thanks a bunch for replying. i intend to also build a welding table using a sheet of 1.5mm mild steel over a 27mm hardwood table. but my plan is to make the holes in the table threaded for accepting m12 bolts. m12 i have found is the best compromise between strength and ease of fabrication/costs. also really nice that you can easily grab it into the standard drill 13mm chuck
