I sew my rod pocket through all thicknesses, not just the lining.

Great videos - do you have any advice for adding a beaded or pom pom trim to the bottom edge of a blind please?

Really helpful video. Like the others would love the next one showing how to attach to the fabric. My main question is regarding the width of the lining if it is black out. It looks like you fold the lining in 2cm each side short of the actual width. If I have black out lining would you suggest that I add 2cm each side to the width so the black out is the full width in the end? Does that make sense?? thanks

Did stitch only one line of stitches for the rod ? Isn’t it better to make another line of stitching dedicated for the rod? And then attach the eyelets ?

Hello there Sasha How do I make a weight rod pocket please? Is it made from the lining material or the facing? Thanks

Great video, but do you have instructions on how to attach the lining to the fabric?

Lila Verbeten glad you liked the video, I handsew the lining on to the main fabric using a ladder stitch once it is positioned and pinned in place. I will at some stage add these instructions.

Thanks for the great video and explanations Sacha. I was also hoping for the video to attach this lining to the blind fabric. More to know the extra width and length you add to the fabric and whether you sew face to face and turn inside out to get a lovely finish like it looks like you had on the very first example you showed us. I'll have a go and big fingers crossed that I get it right! Thanks again.

Sacha thank you. What about the interlining video. Did you do that? Do you hand stitch the lining in or machine sew? And lastly, what machine do you use? Do keep the videos coming. They’re very good.

Cheryl Champine no not always, I now have an industrial lock stitch machine which is much better as it’s only stitch is straight stitch, so perfect straight stitches 😌
