Making Two Blue Opal, Damascus Steel, and White Gold Rings - November Gift Exchange

Ani and Sterling have birthdays this month of November! They decided to do a ring gift exchange. In this video you'll see Sterling making a ring for Ani and vice versa. The ONLY condition for the gift exchange is that they have to use some element of Blue Opal in the rings. You'll see the use of Damascus Steel and White Gold during the process. We really hope you like it and please leave your comments below about what you like or disliked about this ring/video.

Great job you guys! Both rings turned out awesome! I really like those types of raw solitaires. I asked my wife a while back if she wanted me to make one for her and she told me no LOL, said she’d prefer something different 🤷‍♂️

kozhitnrun i love using HSS for coring Damascus. It’s all about using the right feeds/speeds and keeping the workpiece well lubricated. Remember, general rule of thumb is the smaller the drill bit the higher rpm’s you should run your machine and vice versa. I have etched ir before by mixing peroxide but for whatever reason I like using pure ferric and just let it sit longer for a deeper etch!
