Nyenterinnya (bikin center) yg lama kalo ngebubut tuh, belum lagi mata pahatnya mesti disesuaikan, kalo nggak ada, harus bikin dulu, ngegerinda nya lama lagi, namanya juga benda super keras... Intinya pekerjaan lathe machine work itu adalah teknik inovasi (karena harus selalu bikin "special tool"), kesabaran, konsentrasi & telaten (teliti/akurasi)...😁👍🙏

Creative work my friend 👍🏻 I will say however. Using abrasive discs like that on a lathe will cause abrasive dust to end up all over ur lathe ways. And it can really wear down your ways and carriage and is also real tough to clean up just a tip to anyone watching

19.42 - I've got water in my plastic bottle. I'd have ground the square on with a bench grinder as a final operation ( as it was a one-off ) I often have to hold a square in a lathe, since I don't have a four jaw readily available, I use a " temporary collet " - just chuck a piece of bar in a scroll chuck ( with number 1 jaw marked on it ), drill and bore until the square is a snug fit, then take it out, put a slit in it, stick it back in the chuck, and the slit will allow it to grip the square - a great way to hold a square in a three jaw, and it'll take an interrupted cut no problem. If I was going to use abrasives on the spindle housing, I'd have taken the bearings out.

Indexing with a piece of drill press and a sprocket fixed in the lathe compound using a sanding disc. Absolutely brilliant!!!

@@dagaric2 Да это ещё что)) В следующем видосе он варит прямо в патроне, хотя штангенциркуль у мужика Mitutoyo-вский. Ну это вот то, про что я всё время говорю: очень важна школа, культура обработки, которые передаются только через преемственность поколений, что называется "из рук в руки". Что у нас, в подавляющем большинстве случаев, варварски разрушено. Мужик может и талантливый и смекалистый, но творит адскую дичь, понятно, что от бедности , но и из-за отсутствия "культуры" тоже.
