Making the viral chicken cobbler recipe | Dump dinner idea | Easy recipe using a rotisserie chicken
When I first saw several cooking pages make this viral chicken cobbler recipe, I couldn't believe that I had not seen it until this week. It reminds me of a chicken pot pie, but much easier. It's almost like a dump dinner that Darryl with @MissAnniesHomeandKitchen does. Whatever the name, it is delicious! I hope you will try it soon.

Father’s Day and daddy said make Mama Sue’s pot pie! In the oven.
If you don’t have the Red Lobster mix, you can use Bisquik with some garlic salt and parsley in it.

Happy Mothers Day to Sue and All Mothers!🌹🌹🌹
Wow! You all have to try this recipe! It's so easy like she said and foolproof! I had baked a fresh turkey breast in my crock and decided to shred it and use it instead of chicken. I also did not use the butter but I used some of the juice from the turkey gravy on the bottom of the 13x9 glass pan. I also did not have frozen veggies but I used just a can of mixed veggies (carrots, peas, etc) the rest I used exactly what Moma Sue used. I did notice it was right up to the top of my glass pan so I decided to place it on a flat cookie sheet which I was glad I did as it bubbled over just a tad. OMGosh was this a success and so delicious! Thank you Mama Sue for presenting this even if it was going viral I always love to watch you and listen to your Southern drawl voice! Blessings to everyone! I am a devoted fan.
I have made this chicken cobbler & its delicious!! Thank you Mama Sue for sharing this recipe with us ... God bless you ❤😘🌹
I made this, it's incredible. My teen son even really enjoyed this and didn't complain about the veggies. I'll be making this once a month for sure!
I'm making that tonight, but tweaking it a bit. I used broccoli florets, one chopped potato, and a chopped onion. It went into the oven a few min. ago. I can hardly wait. Ty for the recipe. I have written down several of your recipes in my journal cookbook. Next up is that connamon honey.
You are sre so darling! As soon as I heard your Southern accent, I immediately subscribed ❤ Will cook this for my hubby and babies!
You, little lady, are adorable!!!❤ Thank you so much, Mama🎉 Sue.
Just put this in the oven! Bam 💥 My husband can’t wait until it’s done! ✅
You could use ground turkey, chicken, or ground beef for the meat too.
Gotta get a good rubber spatula....so you dont leave the rest of the goodies stuck in the bowl...LOL This looks Really Good...Thanks for sharing !
I just made this and it's really good. The next time I will do the chicken soup layer and the then the biscuit so it will have a more crunchy texture. I also put so e cheddar cheese in the bisquit mix

Exactly. Missy from the other video has the biscuit mix as the top layer
I'm not sure why I just saw this viral recipe today (on someone else's page) but I scooted over to your page and saw it there too! So it's in the oven right now. 😊

I used 3 c pancake 2c milk
I just use the same mixing bowls... also, get the cream of chicken with herbs soup.. it just adds a little extra something. My husband is the pickiest eater in the world and he will eat 2 plates of this cobbler!!
Wow...we made this tonight. What an amazing dish and the whole house smelled incredible 😍
I applaud you, watched another video that used the same ingredients, but variations in the amount of milk, chicken broth and baking amount. Yours wasn’t runny like the other. I’m definitely trying this recipe. Its looks delicious, thanks for sharing!
Your my new kitchen guru
I made this for Christmas dinner. Since our family does not eat chicken. We used a canned vegetarian chicken. It worked well and tasted very good.
I've made it twice. I love it. But, I add the soup and broth before the biscuit mix since the biscuit is the top layer.
Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms out there. 🙂❤️💐

Want to make but no Red Lobster mix available. How many cups, ounces, etc. of the mix is needed, so I can substitute.
I love this recipe thank you for this recipe and May God Bless 🙏
I added Frozen Mix Vegs in mine..it tasted really good!!!
Looks yummy.
My family doesn’t much care for Peas and Carrots, so my question is could I substitute the same amount of frozen corn instead? Happy Mother’s Day to you. 0:53

Looks s good. Will have to bake that😊
Thank you for your wonderful dishes and sharing of the word of God.
Delicious thank u
This is an old southern recipe handed down from generations, but oh so good. We of course didn't have the red lobster pre-packaged we made our own. Thanks for getting it out to everyone
I made this for dinner tonight
I made the one with pancake mix, and it was delicious. I happen to have the cheddar biscuit mix on hand! Great idea. I'm making this for lunch tomorrow and using the bake time shut off on my oven.

@@jhenniceamorrow5936 It was in the 2-3 cup range per package.
Looks Delicious Thumbs up
Great
I watched a lot of the videos on this casserole and yours absolutely has come out looking the best it is beautiful Katherine from Tacoma Washington..🐑🤗
You could add mushrooms, green beans, corn, and even tater tots or almost cooked diced up potato pieces. Califlower all by itself would be great ilI think.
YUM YUM
I've been seeing these recipes drop, viral RL chicken cobbler. I'm SO GLAD I stopped on yours.. I will definitely be trying this out asap! New subscriber so hopefully not too soon. Love you MAMA SUE! Thanks for the recipe and the inspiration from our Lord and Savior!
Also you can use canned chicken.
I shore do appreciate you scraping the cans and bowls! I'm an old Southern lady, back in my day your momma would give you a whack on the butt if she caught you leaving any goodie in the can. Lol I'm trying the chicken cobbler tonight, but maybe with a few more red taters, and maybe a few lima beans. Ty for the great post!1💙
Yummy 😊
My daughter loves this she has recipe

This recipe I have already saved it. This is something easy for a disabled person like me. I can’t wait to try it. Happy Mother’s Day Sue 💐 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. Ephesians 1:3 🙏🏼☝️✝️🛡️🗡️🕊️
I have left over chicken in the fridge. I know what I’m making tonight. 👍❤️
I can't believe I didn't save mine. I have made this a couple of times & well slipped my mind. There are only two of us and the leftovers I freeze individually so If I want or he wants it's there is the freezer but usually, it's my portion control. I always try to have Red Lobster. Price goes up & down on it however I try to have and yes Bisquick too. Our dinner tonight. Nicely done too. I will certainly see what else you do By the way I'm from Mississauga Ontario Canada and yes winter snow and so cold this week, perfect for oday.
I'm glad to see you again I've missed you
Love this recipe…but I like to give a layer of shredded cheddar cheese before adding the milk/biscuit mixture & the soup /broth mixture…I don’t think you added any cheese ❤
Yummy
I'm trying this for lunch now, with my husband. I'm using the same ingredients, except the Fancy Steakhouse seasoning. I'm using the seasoning I have here. I'll come back to give my feedback. Thank you!!

Wow, Mama Sue, this was really good!! It's almost like a chicken pot pie. I left mine in the oven for 90 min, believe it or not. At 60 min, it was still soupy and I didn't like that. For me, 90 min in the oven, it was perfect! Next time, I'll try to add some diced canned potatoes or the frozen kind. I think that will be good. Thanks so much for this easy dinner recipe, perfect for the winter!!
I'm a subbie but not a regular viewer. You look WONDERFUL! Have a Blessed Mother's Day 🌹🌹🌹
Thank you Mama Sue. This cobbler looks so good. Wanted to mention that I fixed your macaroni & tomatoes yesterday, I sauted peppers & onions in olive oil & butter , added to tomatoes, then macaroni with the stick of butter, oh so good. Thanks for that one. Take Care.
I'm so happy to see your video pop up! I haven't seen your videos pop up for quite a while. I also had to subscribe again. I have been a subscriber for a long time. Did you make a new channel? Why would YT unsubscribe me from your channel? Has anyone else had this happen? At any rate, I am so glad to see your videos again! God bless you! 🙏 From Melissa in the mountains of Virginia. 🙏
OK, so I’m giving it a try in the oven as we speak❤
Hi Sue! After watching you make this chicken pot pie type dish, I decided to give it a try. Following the instructions... You said, " Prepare the Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits according to the directions on the box" (so, I did). Then I got to the part about milk. I went "Milk??" LOL. You didn't list milk on the list of ingredients. Oh no! I had made the biscuits according to the instructions on the box, including water and cheese. I had already mixed them up. I also had done what the instructions said about the spice packet; mixed it with 1/4 cup of butter. I did it wrong. 😢 I was ready to toss the whole kitten caboodle, but decided I didn't want to call for pizza delivery. I needed to make the best of it. I decided I needed to re-watch you or video. I usually just watch cooking videos one time and print out the recipe for instruction, so I moved on. I added 1 1/4 cups of milk to the biscuits and cheese mix, tried to dump the butter off of the spice mixture, and stirred it all together. It's in the oven now. I am keeping my fingers crossed it comes out ok!

So how did it go?
It would be better to add only one cup of milk to the biscuit mix so that you have the biscuits on top not bread throughout the whole thing. You can also use cream of celery soup instead of cream of chicken. It adds a better flavor. Also adding a half a cup of Parmesan to the biscuit mix is really nice
This recipe has been around for a long time! Long before internet cooks were a thing. Known back in the day as a chicken and dumpling casserole. Then along comes the internet cooks and it's renamed. I'm giving credit to Deep South Dish for this recipe. That's where I first saw it at least 13, 14 years ago. It's also great made with leftover pork or beef and it's broth. It's a great tecipe!!

Except that the Red Lobster Cheddar Bay biscuit mix is what really makes this dish. I’ve made a lot of chicken and dumpling/biscuit casseroles and this one is just different. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.
Happy Early Mother's Day Thumps up
This looks great. I like to make my own cream of chicken soup with broth, flour butter and milk.. so would I just need about 3 cups worth of that work for this, instead of the 1 can of soup + 2 cups of broth?
I just love you doll!
