I played the game and something that you can improve is the jump. Its taking forever for you to pass the first level (and some other levels) is because when you jump, it slams back to the ground. For this, I think you should lower the gravity even more so that it feels natural and change the jump height to your desired height. Great game idea by the way!

You left the gravity way too high. That’s why it was so hard. And, the disappearing platforms could use a slightly longer wait, as well as a fade-out. The fling at the end should also have much, much less strength so the player can actually tell what happened.

You can just change the camera offset in the humanoid. Im working on a game exactly like this and found changing the camera offset really helpful. When you scale down the avatars the camera sticks to the relative position of the humanoid itself, which is just a shadow of the physical character. So it makes the camera stick to the same position. So you could just change the camera offset (which has worked for me) or remove and add a new humanoid to the character (which I honestly haven't tried yet) 😅

could've just turned the gravity more down and the jump more down and it would not pull you that fast down due to gravity being too strong

this was painful to watch 😭

That discord ping at the start confused me so much

4:06 when you scale a model with a humanoid inside, the humanoid will also increase / decrease depending on if you made it bigger or smaller

The reason why you sucked at the lava jumps is because the lava jumps hitbox is inaccurate to floating points (integers can only go up to 6 decimals)

Also a tip! For the camera, you could have changed its offset, which moves it , that means if you got the right position, it could be hovering the players head and work

Its totally about the hit box

For adding a humanoid, all you have to do is go into the avatar section and create a rig. You don't need to use the marketplace as it is overcomplicating and potentially may have a virus.

Bro I tried making the smallest game on Roblox, but this is even smaller.VERY small! You get a new sub :D

I gotta admit, I tried this game, there are a few issues. 1. The void doesn't kill you so you must reset. 2. The lava neos above the disappearing platforms are way too difficult. 3. The player glitches out and glitches off platforms sometimes. It was a good idea to make a tiny obby, but once you make everything in the Roblox world tiny, it doesn't look like anything is tiny, it almost feels like a normal obby.

Yo just like a little tip for the start that I noticed you had problems with, If your startercharacter model dosent let you move just make sure you unanchor all the limbs (INCLUDING HUMANOID) and it should work fine

edit the speed it takes for the walk animation to play in the character's animate script so you dont die from one of your legs extending out and touching the lava brick every time

fun fact: if you would just divide everything about the game, including walk speed, jump power, and gravity by 10, it would be exactly like you were normal size, but you constantly guessed it, making it way worse

I've worked with smaller characters, this is pretty close but not exact. Jump power is pretty strange and the ideal power follows a non-linear function. The main thing to fix is the mass of the character: it needs to be the approximately the same as a full sized character for the controller code to do the physics properly.

cool video but you should know you can change the size of a model by doing the :ScaleTo() function which will set the scale of a model, so you can but a script in the player that does script.Parent.Parent:ScaleTo(0.1) which sets the models scale to 0.1

it's so jank, some killbricks dont work at all and some are somehow displaced, and one part of the obby randomly flung players

oh i just set it to a 16x16 baseplate sized down the starter character then you have it but the camera is very offset and i hadent used roblox studio in a while@@greeksalad7

hey i know how to fix your game (lower in the workspace properities the gravity, make the jumppower a bit higher/lower (0.7532) i think

for your issue with the whole dying a ton at the first part is your character is way too big for the tiny map. you should scale it down some and then it’ll resolve the issue a bit more (normally characters are not bigger than the spawn locations but you don’t need the character too small, just small than that)

@@RandallBrown-uf7xq he dont have a custom hitbox. it works with the touched function. it is exactly as big as the parts.

I dont recommend adding script to every kill brick. Instead use collection service and for i loop, there are a lot of tutorials on it.

Alternate title: Pluto struggles getting passed the first three lava bricks for 13 minutes.
