If you have silver shrouds and want black ones, just take them out and plastidip them. I did that on my coupe and the look great and are heat resistant

@@Qwertyqwr bixenon are brighter but the only thing they do is make it so you can have the xenon as your brights to flash at other people. You're normal highs are still using the reflector housing and yeah it's important to keep that clean/unpainted. I can provide a picture if you'd like of what I did. I have all halogen lights in reflector housings. Upgrading to the bixenon kit soon. Maybe standard xenon if it's less expensive

So I had to drill the holes out on the bracket to be able to rotate the projector the bracket holes are slightly off

I love these lights

That "Level" sensor you mentioned around 8:30 is on all headlights including Halogen its for the electronic leveling on the LCM, so while you are correct for Xenon its the auto adjuster its not just for Xenon. Source: Me retrofitting OEM Xenon headlights to e46 SE with Halogen Headlights One of my Motors had failed in the Xenon headlights so I swapped them from the old Halogen to the new Xenon. Also keep up the great work.

These are Xenons not LEDs. I am even using the factory ballast

Can the oem projector housing be painted or does 8n effect light output like the highbeam area

Is it possible to have adaptive headlights when u do this typa upgrade??

I’ve been in the market for an e46. Trying to get a manual and a zhp. Don’t really care if it’s a seden or coupe. I do intend on replacing the cooling system just to be safe. Any tips, advice and price I should pay for a clean title e46? I’ve been finding them anywhere with 150-200k miles sadly on my area but I don’t mind if it drives well. Anything I should look for other than what’s been replaced and oil leaks?

How do you disable the daytime running lights?

What about the high beam is that no longer used?

Definitely use gloves during assembly, oil from hands gets on shrouds and reflectors and then they burn out.

Going to do this on my E46 as well but it's just got the reflector halogens, no projector. Is the kit the same for both? Hoping to find a good one that doesn't need extra modding for alignment like yours did. Also seeing some clips of the car driving at night with before/after would he nice for a comparison

The projector kit that I got with work with halogens but alignment will take some time. It mounts to the back of the bowl with a threaded mount

I’m missing the flower 🌸 adjustment knob it came out , not sure what I can do now ...would I need to buy the whole housing or would I be able to buy it and install it ..? They are the original from 2001 (e46-m3-6spdMan) not sure if I should get new ones either ...would it be a big difference also where to buy eBay or Amazon or fc euro. Would love to hear everyone’s advice thank you 🙏🏼

No it doesn’t heat the headlight up evenly

How did you do the custom engraving? My father also passed away from cancer at the age of 55. I think it would be cool to do something similar (he loved black jack). So I thought it would be cool do to an ace/king in one light and a ace/joker in the other light. Sorry for your loss brother.

I had the custom engraving done from the theretrofitsource. It came out so good. I’m sorry to here about your father too. That would be a great idea TRS also you to make custom designs or pick from their predesigned logos.

Yes included is a locking nut and you mount the projector that way

If looking for quick easy.. upgrade your bulbs to Philips Xenon Extreme Vision Gen2 DTS.. super bright.. difference was literally night & day! and replace/clean your shutter lenses if burnt out. What bulbs were in yours b4 u swapped them out Evan?!

Please note 90% of vehicles equipped with the bixenon will more than likely have wire damage or will case wire damage when fittling with the lights that should be repaired

Like, I mean the best lighting solution in terms of depth and width. I really like the angel eyes on your setup BTW so that's for sure something I would want. There are just so many options out there, I'm having trouble picking.

I recommend keeping oem as possible aftermarket headlights are usually junk which is why I went through so much work to upgrade the projectors and keep the OEM ballasts. It really shows how great these ballasts are! My angel eyes are from the angel eye guy!
