Making Textured Renders with a simple trick in Photoshop!

Thanks to ConceptD for sponsoring this video! Click here to know more about the ConceptD 7 Ezel: acer.co/Upstairs_ConceptD7Ezel
In this video, you’ll learn how to add textures to an architectural image. We’re going to use a perspective section to practice the skill, but any type of image can benefit from this move. The programs that we have at our hands enable us to achieve extraordinary results in a short time, but usually, these results are generic and could have been created by someone else that inputs the same settings. So learning how to create unique images full of identity is a must if you want to stand out among Architects.

Nice image, good job! Little tip from a fellow architect: always turn your assets (people, trees, vehicles) into 'smart objects' so that you can alter the size afterwards without changing the pixel quality. Usually you'll never nail the image in 1 take and requests for change comes later (client demands, colleagues or yourself) and than it is nice that you can reposition and rescale the assets without any hustle 😉

i think that a good way to remove the extra details from the line drawing is to export from SketchUp as an AutoCAD file, clean it, and the save it as a 2010 dwg file, then open in illustrator with the AutoCAD layers to fix the line weights.

When you use the section tool through the model, it gives you an option to show or hide the cut fill. I just hadn't activated, but before exporting I made it visible. This button is locate under the section toolbar. Back in the days Sketchup didn't have this option, but I think from Sketchup 2018 and onwards it now has. If you're using other 3D software, there's most likely that feature as well, but if not you can always do it by hand later in Illustrator or Photoshop.
