I lost a 25 year marriage. I was over 60. I was broken for three years. I decided I didn’t want to live my life alone. I found the most wonderful man at 65. Keep your heart open. You are a great woman. At 75 I am happier than I have ever been. K

What a wonderful, wise and kindhearted woman. The kind of person you want as a best friend.
Also, Teachers...'What are they here to teach me...' So needed that. Thank You again!
Read one of her books years ago but always liked this lady. She is very wealthy & hard worker, but suffered like many others. Maria Shriver keeps moving on...like the rest of the smart strong women of the world

My mom and dad were very encouraging, but for some reason I sabotaged my potential for being greater. Something happened today that was a pivotal learning experience, and I'm 59! I believe God sent this video to me because he knows I needed this right now. 🙏 ♥️
Love Maria Shriver… had lunch with her when she was First Lady of Sacramento. Have all the books she has written. Truly, an inspiration to me !!
The last thing I expected from this discussion was insightful wisdom. Close second - vulnerability. Sincerest thanks to two seriously impressive humans. All respect.
A refueling station. I broke down when Maria said this. I am 43 and my parents divorced when I was 15 and I have never felt like I had a solid, permanent home or place to always come home to. Somewhere with people I can depend on that is non-judgemental and unconditional. I still yearn for this safe place. I have been diagnosed with CPTSD from consistent emotional neglect throughout childhood. I am trying to create a safe space at home for myself that centers on self-care and acceptance. A safe childhood sets you up for the rest of your life - parents please always be there for your kiddos...not just food, shelter, clothing, vacations, good schooling etc., but allowing them to be who they are and listening and validating them.
My boys are 30 and 28 and parenting them now is as important they are my first priority still❤

Loved this conversation between two amazing women whom I admire.
I could listen to you ladies all day!❤❤❤
To a point early in the chat. We don't give ourselves enough credit for the very life changing events of our lives, that we survived and we are not bitter, but better and we continue to examine the difficult hurdles that we must all navigate in this challenging life we live.
If Maria should ever see this: I took a class on how to teach ESL right after I retired. Was paired with a Hispanic lady I soon came to cherish. Our Christmas gifts to one another (probably not allowed in the program: who cares…..) were…… She gave me a rose scented rosary and I gave her “I’ve Been Thinking” by Maria Shriver, in Spanish. I wanted her to know Maria without any struggling. Yeah, we both had tears.
Soooooo much great teaching here!
I have been having difficulties with my marriage for sometimes now but with the help of this Sorceress, I have been able to put my marriage back together.

Thank God for Maria's healing journey as it has the power to uplift so many of us. The wisdom that she has gained from all of the grief and loss that she has experienced has been transformed into an incredible power that fuels her resilience that is truly a testament for us all. I love you Maria.
I enjoyed that coach’s message. She’s encouraging strength and perseverance in a wold that increasingly promotes emotional and mental weakness, “like it’s ok to not be ok”, how about “you will get though this! You are strong! You are capable!”
Really surprised and amazed that authenticity was on display in this conversation. I changed my mind about Maria. WOW! I really liked her after this interview.
Understanding the generational communication styles and how it effects us that Maria addresses really gave me “permission” to learn. Thanks ladies for a new perspective! Love the Sunday Paper too!
I love both of you!! Maria, you are so very full of wisdom; Hoda, you are a positive light in the world. ❤❤ Thanks for sharing your life's learnings with all of us!
Listening for the second time! Thank you Hoda and Maria!
What a wonderful interview! Thank you so much, Maria Shriver, for all the wisdom you share with millions of people!
Thank you so much for reframing so many of the topics you drove into. Completely inspiring. Especially permission to be you.
Hi there Hoda; I just want thank you verry much for this interview with Maria Shiver. It really hit home with me I've been dealing with a lot stuff from my life and taking care of others and never taking care of me. I have alot of trama in my life. I am trying to find out "who I am". I am still working on my self trying to let go of that is still very difficult for me to do. I'm so glad you have a very decent human being. She is really wise and it seems that is still working on her self...Thank you so much.
After listening to this interview, the impression I’m getting of Maria as a person is that she is kind, authentic, intelligent, deep, and a good human being. She is always working on herself. She is the kind of woman I would love to have as a friend.
What a great interview. Clearly Maria has done the deep thoughtful work of looking inside. I love the simple utter honesty of her sharing. And as a side benefit of knowing yourself and honouring yourself, (which clearly Maria does,) she looks radiantly peaceful and beautiful. Anyone would be blessed to have Hoda and Maria as a friend.
I always listen when Maria talks. Many ah ha moments.

I do love Maria's insights. And I"m struck by her saying she was 'invisible' when standing next to Arnold or maybe her mother (she didn't say). I have been in a room with her a couple of times, with hundreds of people, I have to add, and I could never catch her eye. She was shielding herself I think, against being ignored. It was a bummer because I really wanted to meet her mom, and I've wanted to meet her, Maria, since she was a young reporter.
Ohhh I loved this video and I think Maria’s messages are fabulous!!!

Both of these women are my heroes and CLASS ACTS….THANKYOU for this😊

Great conversation
She is really cool ..she is so beautiful inside and out..what a leader..all I can say..wow mind-blowing..thank you for this interview!!!
Beautiful advises about adult children, how to be there for them whenever they need it.
Wish I had a day or a few hours with Maria...so lovely.
Another point what a great role model for American families she is. Once one turn 18 they leave the nest and go on with their lives. I have been doing research and watching the news many women particularly in other countries when they get married they are not able to return to their parental home after a divorce because they disgraced parent’s honor. In order for the parents to keep their name they reject their daughters. Many of these women commit suicide by jumping off from high level buildings or use other source of means to end their lives. I hope someone can start an education abroad to teach these parents that they need to be there for their daughters no matter what. I love how Maria stated her doors are open for love and nourishment that’s the type of parents I have. God bless these parents who’s hearts are like limitless ocean ❤️❤️❤️🌹
That was great. Thank you!
Thank you. I always learn something from Maria. Always thought provoking. I appreciate her gentle intellect. Sound of Music-----even the name Maria. 😂
Love this so much. Thank you

Gorgeous, brilliant women, both .❤
I found her “invisible” comment fascinating. Mainly because I first saw Maria when I was in high school on the news. I had no idea who she was related to or connections. I only saw this gorgeous intelligent lady. I started watching CBS morning news because of her. I’m now in my 50’s and I still feel like that high school kid. Trust me when she was on camera she got my attention. Not Arnold…
