Making small prybar thingy

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Many times i have wanted a smal pry thing that i could use to pry, skew, bend, force, scrape and the likes. This is that. The brass is for scraping metal parts without scratching them, and also for show. The holes and cuts are for bending and the likes.

    Would be nice to have a bit more of the "WHY" section giving the purpose of the many details of this thingy, cause it is facinating. Also I think most steel can be hardened with a torch and a can of oil for dosing followed by some time in a toaster oven for anealing, there are soooo many videos describing the process.

    Hello there, yes, i agree. the different details are there for a reason ( but i did not film them) mostly for bending small metal parts and such. :D I have now learned anealing, making a knife video soon

    This would be a great item if anyone made them to sell to those of us without the hardware to make them ourselves. :) Granted there needs to be some minor revisions to the basic design like tempering the metal to industrial strengths, finishing it more and the like but this isa geat little tough looking tool. :)

    If i need to scrape something of a metal piece. the brass is softer then the metal and will not scratch it.

    Not much as a chisel, but for prying (miss) glued wood and stuff apart it works great :D

    Wears a safety apron but no shoes.🙄 Pretty good work with the angle grinder though. What does that brass colored disk do?

  • @FlokrollProjects

    @FlokrollProjects

    Disk is there to scrape stuff of metal, the brass will get paint and such but will not scratch steel and iron :D

    Yes, i thought about it, but it would require some skills and tools that i do not possess, yet :D I am in the process of making a knife from an old file and i will use it to learn about tempering.

    It looks like hot rolled mild steel and therefore hardening is not an easy option or worthwhile. Files and pry bars on the other hand are a good option
