This video missed one important part: the process from turn the small pieces flake into polyester staple fiber. After that the fiber will be processed into yarn.

I believe it looks like an industrial cotton candy machine but I thought the same, I wish they showed us that step
This looks really cool, but I'm really confused with the process. How did the shredded plastic particles got introduced or converted into the fabric? It seems that the video doesn't really explain or at least shows how the yarn is created. It just appears within the process. This aside I'm really happy to see a company that is making the effort to help our environment by reusing this product that we have been using for so long.

Thank you so much for posting this video. I honestly love seeing the actual process that occurs with the recycled plastics. It solidifies your credibility and that's really important when claiming to be eco-friendly.
It makes me so happy to see that all those water bottles are being put to use but it is still so sad that from what we saw in the video there is so much plastic around the world being thrown into the ocean. nice work
If Unifi put recycling bins at every barracks in NC they would get SO MUCH FREE inventory! N.C. has the most populated USMC base and then there's the Army base that is also pretty big. Neither offer recycling.
roughly how big is this factory? in terms of area? for a uni project if anyone can help out

Very cool technology that's taking a huge waste problem & giving it another life. What are the energy requirements for production? Seems like this process would have immense energy needs (which most likely come from fossil fuels).
where can i buy this recycled plastic fabric?

Is this done mechanically? Or chemically?
Now the biggest question what do you do with the tees after been used or throw away recycle and making n to water bottle 🤨
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
No way this is unreal! I love how eco friendly this process is! But just a question, how do these machines get energy? & do they pollute? I bet they use eco friendly energy but I’m just curious to be for sure & what type.
So in Norway we have a system where there is a added fee to the bottle that you get back when the bottle is returned
so Question; How was it actually turned into the fabric???
where can I buy a recycled shirt?
Can I supply your company with plastic bottles from Nigeria?
how much does an entire facility like that cost?
It's always at 3am where I think about things to reduce waste and make it a career 🤓🤓
