Making Rice on a JBV-S10U Tiger 5.5-Cup Micom Rice Cooker Costco. Cooking Quick Mode with 3c Jasmine

Ғылым және технология

Someone had asked me to make a complete video of me making rice with the:
Tiger 5.5-Cup Micom Rice Cooker
www.costco.com/tiger-5.5-cup-...
So here is the video.
In it I made 3 cups of rice using their cup to add rice. Then filled to the 3 cup line for water.
The rice took about 25 minutes to complete.
Comments:
1. Make sure to plug your rice cooker otherwise you can't change any settings with the menu button.
2. Use the warm/cancel button to cancel at anytime you make a mistake.
3. When you press Cook button, it turns red... when the rice is almost done.. you will see it say something like 3min, 2min,... 1min
Sadly.. when you start your session, it does not tell you how long it will take to cook the rice.
4. How do you know the rice is done?
The cook button will turn off (from red) and on the left side the warm button will turn amber orange automatically. Remember to turn off the warm button if you no longer want the rice to be warm.
Good luck.

There's no steam collection outlet/cap? How does one get rid of steam buildup?

Hi does it produce as much steam as a regular rice cooker? Or can I cook without placing it under a range hood?

I would say it produces the same amount of steam... It might be a tad less since it takes longer to cook then standard rice cookers.

This is not recommended. Keep warmer will result in waterlogged rice next day.:

So just let it sit without warmer on after done cooking? With lid open or closed?

What a confusing rice cooker. How to take simple and make it hard.
