It is a great dress! Maybe you should add textile glue to your stash 🙃So you can use it when in a rush but it will still hold up (even in the sun). I use Gütermann HT2 which is a great one and it stays flexible. Don't know if you are able to buy it where you are.

Haazah? 😊...mock ups are a given especially before cutting into a good expensive fabric. I could cry if I ruined a good linen because I was in a hurry
