About us:
We're Jack & Megan, and in late 2020 we sold our belongings and packed our lives into our 2005 Toyota Troop Carrier to travel Australia. Our original plan was to complete a full lap of Australia and return home to Perth to resume our 'normal' lives. We decided we wanted to document our lap for the future and began sharing weekly travel vlogs of our life on the road and fell in love vlogging, filmmaking and sharing our lives with you. We completed our first lap and couldn't imagine living any other way so we decided to continue travelling and calling the Troopy home. We have gone on some crazy adventures since then and it is all thanks to you tuning in to join us every week.

Did you also know the original colour of yours, a bamboo yellow was used to paint all the Triumph 2500 because Triumphs were all assembled in Australia 🇦🇺 by Toyota up until 77. Oh if only we had a car manufacturers left in Australia 🇦🇺😅

If and when you remove the fill plug of the main gearbox , if it’s over full , which is highly likely, it means the seal between the gearbox and transfer case is not so good , so you can buy a kit that drains from one fill plug to the other

If you do something like this again keep the old plugs/filter/parts in place until you finish your painting and then change them; save yourself some masking or overspray on the new parts. You two are doing great.

J & M, It’s Looking awesome guys 👍 Did you put any thought into actually removing the sump. Since the engine is nice & accessible I would seriously consider that just to see what sort of sludge is in there, if any Another one, again before the body is on, had you put any thought in breaking the gearbox off, removing the clutch and replacing the Rear Main (seal). The other beauty of that is you will get to check out the clutch & flywheel etc? Not that expensive & could save a few tears just down the track. I will shut up now 😂

@@itsJackandMegan I remember you said the engine had been rebuilt but I’m assuming that was before it sat for 15 years (however long it was). My only thought there was if it’s sat that long, I wonder what it’s like. Anyway, it’s not that difficult to do later, I only hope if it has deteriorated that it doesn’t let go catastrophically. Anyway, everyone is chiming in & I shouldn’t add to that. It’s looking awesome, the chassis came up like new. Good on you guys 👍

I'm confused by this build???? You've gone to the effort to sand blast chassis and cab but are taking too many sort-cuts in other areas. I find this frustrating because of my anal attention to detail. I didn't see gaskets under the rocker covers either. At this rate it'll be finished in a month. I'm three years into mine and have two to go. Great work. Marty from Perth
